oluwagbenro O. ★★★★★ : This is my 1st time in Enugu, Your food is a bit pricey, but the ambience is excellent. The staff are very courteous and professional, especially Esther, Chidiebere, the gentleman and the cute lady at the bar, as well as the lady who relieved Esther. I also met a lawyer there in ur hotel Dr. Daniel, who is a great guy and added to the pleasant experience of my stay im Enugu If I were to give a review, I would say you all made my stay worthwhile. My only concern was the occasional flickering of the lights. Overall, the hotel is centrally located, comfortable, and has great customer service. If I visit Enugu again, I will definitely stay at your hotel. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Chinedu M. ★★★★★ : I stayed at Hardbreak Hotel with family, booking four rooms for two nights. We were offered a discounted rate of ₦50,000 per room per night, rather than the standard ₦60,000. While I appreciated the discount, unfortunately the overall standard of the accommodation and service fell considerably below what I would reasonably expect at this price point. The hotel appears to have two sections, with Hardbreak Plus being the newer and more modern offering, and priced accordingly. In hindsight, the difference between the two sections appears significant. Our rooms looked tired and in need of refurbishment. This was particularly noticeable in the bathrooms, where the showers and wash-hand basins were badly stained and showed considerable signs of age and wear. The upholstered chairs in the bedrooms were also heavily stained, apparently from spills, cigarette burns or both, to the extent that we were uncomfortable using them. More concerning was the experience of my cousin, who discovered a cockroach in his bedroom. He killed it and specifically asked a member of staff to have the area cleaned. For me, finding a cockroach in a guest bedroom raises serious concerns about housekeeping and pest-control standards. Our experience in the bar on Sunday evening was particularly troubling. Although initially relatively quiet, a serious altercation subsequently broke out involving several women. Chairs and bottles were being thrown during the disturbance. What concerned us most was not simply that an incident occurred—hotels cannot necessarily prevent every instance of poor guest behaviour—but the apparent lack of an immediate and decisive response from hotel management and security. Despite our repeated concerns and requests for the security team to intervene, we did not feel that protecting the comfort and safety of other hotel guests was being treated with the urgency the situation warranted. For any hotel, guest safety should be non-negotiable. In my view, the management response on this occasion fell well below an acceptable standard. The following morning, I went downstairs looking for the restaurant and had to first establish that the bar area also served as the restaurant. I sat there for approximately 15 minutes without being attended to before eventually calling over to reception and asking whether someone could assist me. When a waitress eventually arrived, I asked simply for a cup of coffee. I was provided with two sachets of instant coffee, two sugar cubes and a sachet of powdered milk. Unfortunately, one of the sachets contained congealed material, which completely removed what little appetite I had left. This experience reinforced my concerns about both service standards and attention to food hygiene and presentation. Overall impression I am genuinely uncertain about the standard to which Hardbreak Hotel is aspiring. The room rates are neither exceptionally expensive nor particularly cheap, and I therefore did not arrive expecting five-star luxury. However, basic cleanliness, hygienic rooms and bathrooms, attentive service and effective management of guest safety are reasonable expectations at any professionally operated hotel, regardless of price category. There were aspects of the property that suggest it could offer a much better experience, particularly given the investment apparently made in the newer Hardbreak Plus section. However, our experience of the hotel demonstrated a clear need for refurbishment, stronger housekeeping and pest-control standards, better staff training, and considerably more decisive management when guest safety is threatened. Unfortunately, based on this stay, I would find it difficult to recommend the hotel in its present condition. The problems we encountered were not simply cosmetic; taken together, they raised broader concerns about cleanliness, service culture and management standards. I hope management takes this feedback constructively, because these are all issues that can—and should—be addressed.

Gabriel R. ★★★★★ : Room space is better than most places I checked out and it's location for me is awesome
Michael C. ★★★★★ : So I lodged at the Hotel on the 18th of May 2026. The rooms look okay, but my nightmare started from the same afternoon I came in. First, it was the AC leaking waters inside the room( I was in Room 306), I promptly notified the reception and all they could tell me is that they'll put bucket there since Maintenance was not around. I told the porter to put me in a different room since I cannot manage that one like that(I even forgot to tell you that their bathroom door suddenly locked itself, how it happened, I do not know), well, begrudgingly the porter moved me into room 302. Everything was okay until evening when I wanted to wash my hand only to discover there was no water in the Room 302. I called the number the receptionist gave to me again ( I won't share the number here for privacy reasons but I have the contact on my contact list), and informed them about this. They told me it will be fixed. Well, by the time it was "fixed", I had no need of it again. Then about a 2 hours later(8:21pm), my wife wanted to shower and again there was no water. I called the same number and reported, they said it will be fixed. 15 minutes later, nothing was fixed. I called again, and the porter(a lady) came to my room to confirm. I showed her and she started making excuses about how someone else checked out of the room the same day(I mean what was I to do with that information, does it fix the absence of water in the room?), I had to just lash out on her because what was the excuse for? It was by Grace that I managed to also bathe. All I can tell you is this, if you're lodging here, think twice about it lest you end up being starved of water to flush your toilet or bathe. As for me, if it was possible to rate them zero(0), I'd have done that, and this is the last time they'd ever see me in their place. If not that it's late, is have requested for a refund and left.
