I asked the cashier, she said there was no network. Went upstairs to do the transfer, no split unit was on, no fans either. The place was piping hot. Only seat for four people there, stood for over thirty minutes, before someone stood up. Sat for another thirty mins before they did the transfer. Then went downstairs, still no network, stood for another 25mins. Then the hellish moment, they were giving a paltry 10,000 each. My money o, no problem. Next visit there is to close the account. Okechukwu (Okey) Enelamah graduated top 5% at Harvard Business School. Goldman Sachs wanted him. Silicon Valley courted him. Every door was open.
But in 1999, he made a bet nobody understood.
He left everything to build Nigeria's first private equity fund.
