Ranked Verified
Is that business verified? Check in five seconds.
RANKED VERIFIED means we confirmed a fact. The owner proved control of the listing, we checked their CAC certificate, or a reviewer really visited. The badge can never be bought: it is granted on evidence alone, and anyone can check it right here. It is not an endorsement of quality: rankings are earned separately, from real customer activity.
What RANKED VERIFIED certifies
- Owner verification
- The person controlling the listing proved they control the business through a match against the phone number on record, or equivalent evidence. Wrong-owner badges are treated as high-severity bugs: we hold uncertain claims for review rather than guess.
- CAC registry match
- Where a business supplies its RC number, we match it against Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission record. The stronger “CAC Verified” badge marks that match.
- Verified visits
- Reviews marked “verified visit” come from people who contacted the business through Ranked before reviewing. Every review is human-moderated either way.
Verification is factual. It is never sold or presented as an endorsement. It is worth a fixed 5% of the composite score, the same for every business with evidence, and that is the only way it touches rank (see How we rank). Claiming a listing costs a one-time NGN 5,000; the fee buys the claim, and only evidence earns the badge. A paid claim with no proof is refused and refunded. A verified business earned its badge by proving something checkable; its ranking is earned separately from real customer activity.
Own a business? Claim it and get verified.
Claim your listing, verify ownership, and display the RANKED VERIFIED badge on your website and socials. Businesses that claim early are founding members and first in line when new benefits launch.
