Tips T. ★★★★★ : Our family’s experience at Eldorado Multi‑Specialist Hospital from Friday to Monday was deeply distressing and extremely disappointing. I am sharing this to help other families understand what we went through. This has been the worst hospital experience we have ever had. We brought our dad in on Friday, and from that moment until Monday, almost nothing meaningful was done for him. Despite his serious condition, the doctor rarely reviewed him, usually appearing only once a day around 1pm during ward rounds. At no point did we feel that his condition was being monitored with any urgency. To make things even harder, only one of the siblings was physically present with our dad, while the rest of us, the older children, were trying to coordinate his care, make decisions, and organise everything from different parts of the country and abroad. The lack of communication from the hospital made this incredibly stressful. Throughout the entire stay, the doctor refused to give the family updates, even when we repeatedly asked for explanations about our dad’s condition and the tests they claimed to have run. We were told that test results were ready on Monday, yet no interpretation was provided. We were left completely in the dark about what was happening to him. An abdominal scan was eventually done, but when we asked about the findings, the doctor simply said he “didn’t have any concern,” even though the report clearly mentioned a kidney cyst and an abdominal aortic aneurysm. We received no explanation, no guidance, and no plan. The nursing care was also extremely disappointing. Many nurses appeared unwilling to help, and there seemed to be no night doctor available. During the day, only one or two doctors were present, and they showed very little urgency or concern. On Monday, after days of no progress, we ourselves contacted doctors from other hospitals for advice. They were shocked that Eldorado had not done even the most basic cardiac investigations for a patient with heart‑related issues, no ECG, no chest X‑ray, no echocardiogram. When we asked Eldorado about these tests on Monday, we were told we had to request them ourselves, and that the echocardiogram would take two days and the ECG 24 hours because they did not have staff available. After seeing no improvement and receiving no communication, we had to arrange a transfer ourselves. As soon as we requested discharge, Eldorado immediately stopped our dad’s oxygen, even though the bill and discharge documents were not ready. We were then told not to rush to get an ambulance because they were still “sorting out” the bill, despite the fact that they had already removed his oxygen support. It took another four hours before they finally released him. The billing process was equally troubling. We were charged for extra hours of oxygen use that were never given, and for multiple sugar checks and drips that did not reflect the care he actually received. The bill also increased by over 2m within the space of an hour, without any clear explanation. For a few drips, minimal monitoring, and almost no medical intervention, the total cost approached 2m, yet our dad remained in pain and without proper care. The most painful part of this experience is knowing how much suffering our dad endured over those days, with so little done to help him. The mismanagement, lack of communication, unexplained billing, and absence of urgency made the entire experience feel overwhelming and unacceptable. Never ever! Lucky to have 1 star

He charged us 35k for it and we paid cash. Just yesterday we took my Dad there and the Doctor said we are going to buy an antibiotic from him for 60k instead of buying it from the hospital for 70k. The Doctors are all out for themselves.

I took my sick brother there to see the doctor and after consultation he just gave him instructions to pay for and collect his medicine. I asked his diagnosis but the doctor asked me what I need the diagnosis for, (like seriously, why come to hospital then) he later told me what he thinks is the problem because he didn't even do any medical test. After paying a ridiculous large amount for the medicine we left. A week later my brother fell sick again, we took him back, now the doctor (that same doctor) decided to test him. But then he refused to show the medical results of the lab test. The nurse, the doctor vehemently refused to show us the lab results. My people where is that done? Is he trying to hide his mistake or what? Playing with people's lives. My brother himself have seriously told us not to ever take him to that hospital again. Even a boy of 18 years can see the misconduct of the doctor.
