I was on wheelchair when I arrived at the hospital, meaning that I can't walk with my legs but before I left the hospital I was already standing and walking with my legs and I was discharged on the 28th March 2026. Nwando Specialist hospital in Umuahia is the best place to go / visit / rush at anytime you have any kind of bone problems, or surgery. The doctor is the best in Orthopedic matters.

The service was excellent, the staffs were professional and caring, and the prices were quite affordable. My patient had access to quality therapy sessions with a clinical psychologists. It’s good to know that they have both indoor and outdoor services which makes their stay comfortable. It’s reassuring to know that quality healthcare can also be accessible in NIGERIA. Linda J. ★★★★★ : Downtown Hospital, Umuahia – 0/5 This is a psychiatric hospital in Umuahia. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend it. The charges are very high, and families are told patients must stay for 3 to 6 months. When families request a shorter stay of 1-2 months, the hospital discharges patients without medication, follow-up visits, or any aftercare plan. Patients are left on their own. If a patient relapses due to lack of aftercare, the hospital then asks them to return but charges up to three times the original amount for readmission. In my view, this facility does not provide adequate care for psychiatric patients.
