This is a psychiatric hospital in Umuahia. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend it.
The charges are very high, and families are told patients must stay for 3 to 6 months. When families request a shorter stay of 1-2 months, the hospital discharges patients without medication, follow-up visits, or any aftercare plan. Patients are left on their own.
If a patient relapses due to lack of aftercare, the hospital then asks them to return but charges up to three times the original amount for readmission.
In my view, this facility does not provide adequate care for psychiatric patients.
