It was my first time visiting the hospital, and I was curious about what the experience would be like. When we arrived, we went to the reception desk where we were welcomed by a polite staff member. After my mother's details were recorded, we sat in the waiting area. While waiting, I observed the activities around me. Some patients were waiting to see the doctor, nurses were attending to patients, and other healthcare workers were busy carrying out their duties. After a short while, my mother was called to see the doctor. I went in with her and watched as the doctor asked questions about her health and carried out a general examination. He was patient and explained everything clearly. My mother was also asked to undergo a few routine tests. While waiting for the results, I noticed how the hospital staff worked together. The nurses were caring and respectful to the patients, while the doctors attended to each person professionally. The hospital was also clean and well maintained. After the results were ready, the doctor explained them to my mother and gave her some medical advice. He also encouraged her to maintain a healthy lifestyle and attend regular check-ups. Our visit to St. Mary's Hospital was a valuable experience. I learned that hospitals are not only places where sick people receive treatment but also places where people go for regular check-ups and health advice. The experience also increased my respect for doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers.
