If you are like me who doesnt have an adventurous taste buds, just stick to what you are familiar with lol. I had the 'grilled fish' and chips and honestly I didnt enjoy the fish because it didnt taste like what I am used to lol so maybe another thing to do is ask the waiters questions but luckily the sauce from my starter was a great help to eat it.

The road is flanked by the traffic light at the entry which makes access easy, the wide parking lots makes easy parking of vehicles effortless.
It overlooks the coastal waters and has the prestigious boat club on it's back side, Civic centre is always the right place for different flagship events from workshops, seminars, balls, corporate and marketing events.
Access to the halls is flexible, either by the stairs or by the elevator.

I think I've seen an elevator there before when I joined my sister to decorate the lower floor for an event but I don't know why it wasn't put to use on this day. Ladies with bags, souvenirs and heels had a tough time using the stairs, same with the elderly. The event planners had to get ushers at that spot to help the elderly and many who had bags and struggled with the stairs. Aside that, ambience, space, location, security were all great.

The Ladies, Peace and happiness 😄 at reception are fantastic they always greet you with a smile, they are friendly and very welcoming . Lovely ladie. All staff are nice to be honest, the house keeping was good.
It was not until the last day that I noted a member of staff who does massages in the hotel .
I booked with them immediately I would have had another session had I known from the beginning this service was available here.
The hotel needs to put a sign up in the reception or by the lift or a table to advertise this service as maybe many guest are missing this great on site treatment . I had a Swedish massage the massage was fantastic. Please promote this service to your guests.
Guest need to be made aware in advance of when and what entertainers are coming otherwise like us we only saw the pianist by chance .
I noted no iron in the room, no shower cap when I use shower. You know us ladies we want to cover hair in shower.

Unfortunately, after 30mins of waiting after placing our order, the kitchen calls him to inform him that there was an emergency which had to do with no gas to cook. Asking that we wait for upwards of an extra 35mins to figure out how to resolve this. Even appetiser wasn't available.
We had to leave without eating. I still hold that the professionalism of the waiter was noteworthy. However the kitchen staff behaviour and slip-up in planning messed the entire experience up.
Prices look fair (I was looking forward to lambchops and mashed potato(recommended by waiter)) ambience was good.
Won't most likely be returning.

The service from the moment I arrived was poor. The front desk staff seemed unorganized and unprofessional, and check-in took much longer than expected. There was no proper welcome or clear information provided about the hotel facilities.
We chose the penthouse expecting a premium experience, but it simply wasn’t worth it. The space did not feel luxurious or properly maintained. For the price we paid, we expected spotless rooms, quality furnishings, and top-tier service — but instead, the overall standard felt average at best.
Cleanliness was below expectations, and some facilities in the suite didn’t function properly. The ambiance didn’t match what you would expect from a penthouse, and it definitely did not justify the cost. On top of that, the service was inconsistent and slow, which made the experience even more frustrating.
To make matters worse, we were told breakfast costs ₦50,000, which is excessive considering the overall quality of the hotel. When you’re paying premium prices, you expect premium value — and sadly, that was not the case.
Overall, the penthouse was overpriced and underwhelming. It did not deliver the luxury experience it promised, and I would not recommend it to anyone expecting value for their money.

After booking and getting to the hotel, they said dinner isn't part of the available amenities but could not provide a satisfactory answer why it has always been on the advert on the booking page.
Customer service is not the best. Some hotel staff could be rude. One restaurant staff threatened to bar me from entering the restaurant should I go with my bag the next day.
For a day that they have large guest in the restaurant, you would hardly find what to eat, as most of the food would have been exhausted and not replenished. I have stayed in about three to four different rooms, only one room had proper hot water in the shower. Some rooms require some level of maintenance.
The location is good, with easy access to other areas.

We were staying at The White Orchid, so it was nice it being so close by. However, placing an order of drinks and food felt like we were inconveniencing the staff who just wanted to chat in the back. At one point I"d asked for simple fries and the lady serving was behaving as though I'd told her to go to the market and buy the potatoes to make them from scratch. I was so annoyed at her terrible attitude, but I didn't say anything at the time in case she did something to my food. Its a shame, because I actually like the venue and would want go visit again next time we visit Nigeria.
