It's been taken over by the landmark group and they gradually bringing it back to life. I loved it purely from the nostalgic angle and you can see what it is going to be when it's all done up. They aren't quite there yet though. The rooms are good, was able to watch the champions league in room and got the match i wanted which isn't always a given in most hotels i stay in. The restaurant was same as it was 30 years ago but the service wasn't fantastic. Food was passable, still a lot of work to be done. Front office staff were fantastic and it was a pleasant experience. You can already see where is headed and I'll definitely go back in a few months. The view over the lake is awesome

We later went for a boat ride around the lake and it was yet another awesome experience, while on the boat ride we came across a Croc that was resting on a root of a tree and was receiving some sunshine and we took pictures of it. The location was also another thing, it was located outskirt of the town, I loved my time there and already planing for a revisit with my fiancée.

The kitchen staff, the chef, the manager, Isaac from room service, and Chiamaka from the restaurant all deserve top marks for their competence and daily dedication.
The rooms are clean, although some items show signs of wear and tear, such as loose faucets, remote controls without battery compartment covers, and loose toilet seat covers. An improvement in the existing quality control would be desirable.
The attitude of some of the young women in the restaurant and at reception could also be improved. Thanking guests for their stay is, after all, part of their job. Perhaps those who already do this could inspire their colleagues. Shouting across the counter even whilst using terms such "Auntie" or "Mama" is neither polite nor appropriate. In hospitally yelling or talking loudly has no place.
I still highly value this accommodation, as it generally meets the standard of a place I can recommend to visitors of Enugu.

The ACs in Gr rooms are not working. They’re on, but they’re just not cooling the room. I had to change rooms because of that, and it was still the same thing. There are cockroaches in the room as well. I wish I was making this up. The toilet is outdated, doesn’t flush properly and the water isn’t clear. There’s no shower head, just an old bath tub and a bucket, so you’ll have to scoop water to take your bath, I didn’t take my bath because there was no towel. It was the worst experience ever. The staff are nonchalant and don’t care about you. The hallways smell like weed and cigarettes. It was awful. And I paid 30k for this oh. The branch in Uyo is way way better than this. And I came here because I knew the one in Uyo o. Chai, shame on these people! I felt so bad. Everything in this building is outdated. Even the WiFi, can only help you reply to WhatsApp messages and nothing more. Do not be deceived by the picture! Jesus Christ!
