Bello A.★★★★★ — I was there for the first time, and I can confidently say it is a 10/10 experience. You truly get value for your money. The manager is exceptional in terms of customer relations, and that positive attitude clearly reflects in the professionalism and conduct of the entire staff.

Ezefuna I.★★★★★ — I love coming here, everyone is so amazing and nice and friendly. The manager is amazing, alone with Precious, The other precious, Richard!!
Amazing people!
Aneke C.★★★★★ — The meal was nice. I really enjoyed every bit of the food.
I love the smell and the way it been served
ONYINYECHI
stephanny F.★★★★★ — The food is so good! A bit overpriced for Nigerians but u highly recommend for foreigners. I advice reservations and trying the duck
Yasmin B.★★★★★ — My sister and I got the chickendodo dish and cocktails: Sex on the beach, red passion w/ a shot of tequila. The cocktails were really good. The food was ok, would’ve liked more seasoning but the portion was perfect. Overall, service was a bit slow. We had to wait for our food for almost 1.5 hrs. Joy was an amazing server and she was the best thing that happened in this place!
Oluwa D.★★★★★ — This is my second time here in a week. The food is a hit. The ambiance is so chill with great music. And the service was great. Joy attended to us and was super attentive to me and my boys. And took great care of us. We will definitely be back. ….and one more thing we love alllll the games to entertain while we wait.
Diana S.★★★★★ — It's starts kicking from midnight. Food is exquisite. Finally tried the peppered snails - nice and tender. Also tried a chicken/prawns platter.
Tobi B.★★★★★ — Today, the 3rd of March, at around 6:27 p.m., something ridiculous happened at Mega Chicken Ikota Branch. I sent my security man to buy one portion of jollof spaghetti, and he came back with one portion, but I was debited for two portions.
I got upset because this happens most of the time whenever I send someone to buy food. I notice the staff will serve one portion and debit for two portions.
I walked into Mega Chicken with my security guard and tried explaining to one of the staff members in a white shirt. First, he was very rude to me, and after I explained the situation, he replaced the food with the actual worth of two portions of spaghetti and asked me to pay for the pack.
This was clearly a mistake made by the staff, so why did I have to pay for the pack? Initially, I budgeted for one portion, but the fact that I had to pay for an unbudgeted two portions got me irritated.
I also felt humiliated by the way the staff addressed me. I work very hard for my money; I do not beg or ask people for help, so it hits differently when I feel cheated financially. Instead of respectfully acknowledging their mistake, he acted as though he was justified, despite the error being on their part. It was truly heartbreaking to experience such behavior.
Dear Mega Chicken Director, please you need to properly address this issue with the staff who worked on that day at that time. Your team needs better training on the importance of offering the exact services that are being paid for. This repeated behavior is becoming dubious and is highly unprofessional.
I am glad I am able to express my concern, and I sincerely hope you take this into thorough consideration.
Favour E.★★★★★ — I bought a parfait today, and they sold the one that has gone bad. Apples were rotten and the yoghurt was so sour and tasted terribly. Parfait of N5,500 o.
I regretted buying anyway. Should have just stuck with Prince Ebeano that sell theirs for N3,500. Just wanted to give theirs a trial. Ended up wasting my money.
Emmanuel B.★★★★★ — First time guest. Frankly the gentleman waiter(forgot his name) was quite exceptional and very helpful.
Unfortunately, after 30mins of waiting after placing our order, the kitchen calls him to inform him that there was an emergency which had to do with no gas to cook. Asking that we wait for upwards of an extra 35mins to figure out how to resolve this. Even appetiser wasn't available.
We had to leave without eating. I still hold that the professionalism of the waiter was noteworthy. However the kitchen staff behaviour and slip-up in planning messed the entire experience up.
Prices look fair (I was looking forward to lambchops and mashed potato(recommended by waiter)) ambience was good.
Won't most likely be returning.
Grace C.★★★★★ — Their meal 10/10
The service here was really welcoming
The chefs are really talented
This is my 5th time here I just had to drop a review
Ola-oluwa O.★★★★★ — I've been here a handful of times and haven't had a single issue. The food is good, the vibe is relaxed and the atmosphere is chill. You can watch football outside or just enjoy a quiet meal indoors.
T★★★★★ — We tried to make a reservation, but they didn’t pick up the phone. Luckily, when we got there there was a table available. The service was just alright, but our drinks and food came out in a timely manner. The pasta was really good and the dessert was a good portion. It’s really beautiful both inside and out.
Samson O.★★★★★ — I am a very picky person and quite observant when it comes to customer service and despite the crowd as a result of the brand identity, the attendants or should I day service providers were very calm, polite and really polite, I mean I would have bought them afternoon meal for being excellent but I wasn't sure if it was going to violate any company code of conducts. Overall, I was thrilled and kudos to the team. Food is fantastic. Environment above average.

Clement O.★★★★★ — Great food and fantastic taste.
The queue was long and took a little time before it gets to your turn. It's not a quick service restaurant. But the food gives you taste for value & quality.
Space constraints is a challenge during peak hours.
Queen V.★★★★★ — I stopped by Commint Buka in Lagos this morning for breakfast and had ewagoyin with kpomo. The visit was brief and straightforward, very much a “come, eat, and go” kind of experience, which seems to be the general vibe of the place.
The food itself was okay. The ewagoyin was filling and did the job for a morning meal, while the kpomo was reasonably prepared and complemented the beans well. It wasn’t outstanding or particularly memorable, but it was decent enough if you’re just looking for a quick local breakfast without too many expectations. Portion-wise, it felt fair for what was served.
What stood out more than the food was the service style. Since it was early in the day, I expected a bit more warmth or friendliness from the servers, especially that morning energy you sometimes get at bukas where greetings and small interactions make the experience more pleasant. Instead, the service felt strictly business-like. Orders were taken, food was served, and people ate and left. No unnecessary delays, but also no extra engagement.
Overall, Commint Buka feels like a place people visit purely for convenience. If you’re in a hurry, want to eat quickly, and move on with your day, it works just fine. However, if you’re looking for a more relaxed or welcoming breakfast experience, this might not fully meet that expectation. It’s practical, efficient, and functional—nothing more, nothing less.
Adebisi K.★★★★★ — I had my birthday dinner there with my boyfriend, and it was a calm evening with a lovely ambience. The staff were polite, though I felt they could have been a bit more cheerful and welcoming. Interestingly, the men at the door were more receptive than the rest of the team, which made me feel slightly tense.
The restaurant has specific rules on dressing, as well as a minimum spend of ₦50,000 per person. That said, the food and drinks were truly delicious, beautifully presented, filling, and worth enjoying. My boyfriend made the reservation online, but upon arrival, it seemed the details hadn’t been properly communicated to the receptionist, which caused a little hiccup.
Still, I deeply appreciate his effort in making the evening special.
Oluwadamilola O.★★★★★ — The food and atmosphere is great, I had their special fried rice and it tasted good. The beef could be bigger. The atmosphere is cool too, great spot for a date, but they need to work on their service, the staff taking orders had an attitude but maybe cause it was a busy day. Other than that, everything else was great. Recommend it.
Sola O.★★★★★ — I like the jollof rice. It is top notch - party rice style. I go there for the porridge and abula too. Great meals
H T★★★★★ — I waited for almost 3 hours for this #4,500 shawama to be delivered yet the wait wasn’t worth it. The shawama was so horrible and filled with cabbage and pepper. No chicken neither meat. The taste was so bad, the fillings were nothing to write home about. I highly won’t recommend 0/10
chioma E.★★★★★ — Very horrible and unprofessional online service. You list your services on chowdeck stating 53-60mins delivery time. I have been waiting over an hour and 30 minutes to get my order, the people i ordered the food for have gone to bed. The rider has been waiting since 7:25pm to pick up from mega chicken station at amuwo and this is 8:15pm and my food is not here yet. The help team from chowdeck checked in with them and they apologized that the shawarma was the one delaying my food. Why would shawarma take more than an hour to get ready and the last i checked tou dont get a long queue for shawarma. My order got confirmed at 6:40pm. The rider has been waiting since 7:25pm to pick up my order, now it says my order has been reassigned to another rider. What rubbish, horrible, negligence and unprofessional service from mega chicken. Your online service is horrible and I don’t think that i would ever use it again. Thank you
Isabella O.★★★★★ — The space was filled at the main restaurant and had to move us to their lounge; Prive which I wasn't too sad about. The food came late and I was a little frustrated.
Ordered the Cajun Seared Barracuda and it was perfectly done, toasty on the outside and soft on the inside. I did not find a single bone in the fish, which was impressive. Absolutely delicious. 9/10
I initially wanted mashed potatoes as my side, but since it was not available, I opted for jollof rice and honestly I am glad I did. This was hands down the best basmati jollof I have ever had. Smoky, firewood flavoured, not overly peppery and incredibly tasty. 11/10
My sister had the Ofada, which was delicious and generously loaded with proteins. However, it would have been even better with Ayamase sauce. 7/10
Our waiter David was very understanding and offered excellent service, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
For drinks, the mojito was a standout. The lemon and mint hit perfectly. It was refreshing, balanced and very well made. 10/10
The strawberry daiquiri was nice but nothing particularly special. 7/10
Dessert was the chocolate mocha cake. The cake itself was warm, soft and delicious, and the chocolate syrup was really good. Unfortunately, the ice cream had melted by the time it arrived and was more foam than ice cream, which took away from the experience. 6/10
The yam fries were toast outside and soft inside. The tomato sauce was delicious 7/10
Cannot end the review without talking about the dj at the Prive lounge! He was so good and made us dance in our seats.
Overall, I will definitely be coming back, mainly for that jollof and the mojito alone. They should hold their chef well! They are doing a good job.
Rachael A.★★★★★ — Food was 10/10 and the atmosphere is amazing. Love the free fries we got. The mocktail was so amazing. I went for a second and the jollof!!!! Standing ovation pls. Food is expensive though
Josh O.★★★★★ — BukkaHut Gbagada is like that friend you can count on. Not flashy or fancy, but always delivers with good food and service. Giving 4 stars because the signpost is hard to spot when driving. Will upgrade it to 5 stars once that’s fixed.
EDIT:
I drove by recently and I saw that the signpost has been fixed. Now upgraded to 5 stars.
Adeife A.★★★★★ — The service at this branch is incompetent and that's me being generous. I went to black bell Ikota on the 28th of December of 2025. They over charged my card. I then proceeded to complain about the issue the next day. They told me I would expect I refund within 14 business days. Till today I have not received the refund. If you want efficient service and honest business dealings, I would not recommend the black bell Ikota branch.
Onyekaonwu A.★★★★★ — Food is tasty and served hot. Waiting time was about 10 minutes. Seating space manageable.
Good for quick meals, not long hangouts.
Also good for families
Isaac O.★★★★★ — Good food, a little quiet atmosphere. But at the time I visited, the air conditioners were not working, so I couldn't dine in. I enjoyed their firewood jollof rice. Service delivery is relatively fast and they have great options as well. Parking is difficult during peak periods. You may need to park at the nearby ifitness gym lot.
