K★★★★★ — I recently visited this ice cream shop while traveling in Abuja. The staff were very nice and welcoming, and the service itself was pleasant.
However, I was honestly disappointed with the portion size for the price. As a tourist, I understand prices can vary, but the cost for a very small baby cup with just one scoop felt extremely expensive. When I saw how little ice cream was in the cup, it was disappointing.
The ice cream did taste good, but respectfully, I don’t feel it was worth the price. Because of that, I personally wouldn’t purchase from here again.
Aneeya I.★★★★★ — I arrived at Hans and Rene’s at 7:58pm, knowing the posted closing time is 8:00pm. When I got there, the store was already packed up and effectively closed. After seeing me, staff reopened the shop and told me to “quickly” place my order.
When I asked why they were already closed before the stated time, I was told to just order fast. I did, but then I was informed that I could only choose from flavours that hadn’t yet been packed away. At that point, the experience felt rushed and unwelcoming, so I decided to leave without ordering.
If a store closes earlier than the posted time, that should be communicated clearly. Otherwise, customers should be able to order normally up until closing time, without feeling pressured or limited. Disappointing experience.

Their croissants and cheese cakes are the best. Just note that Croissants always sell out weekends - on Saturdays (often also Sundays) is when they bake them.
