Best Cardiology Clinics in Enugu

In Enugu, Enugu State, 16 cardiology clinics are listed, but the review data is uneven. St. Mary's Hospital & Maternity leads on volume with 432 reviews and a 4.7 rating, tied with The Eye Specialists Hospital (TESH) at 4.7 but with 192 reviews. Christian Miracle Hospital holds the highest rating at 4.9, though from just 36 reviews. The remaining top five, NobleLife Consultants Clinic and Diagnostics and Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre, both sit at 4.5 with 22 and 13 reviews respectively. The gap between review counts and ratings means the list reflects both reputation and popularity, not clinical quality.

How to choose safely

What to check before choosing cardiology clinics in Enugu

Rankings are a starting point. For this category, these are the checks that most often separate a useful recommendation from a risky one.

  • Verify care fit

Check specialties, emergency coverage, operating hours, and whether the facility handles your exact condition.

  • Check insurance and regulation

Confirm accepted HMOs, licences, and whether the listed phone line reaches the facility directly.

  • Read recent feedback

Prioritise recent reviews about wait times, staff responsiveness, cleanliness, and billing clarity.

    • Precious U. ★★★★ : I am very disappointed with my experience at Niger Hospital. My sister visited the hospital for a skin condition and paid the consultation fee on the first day without any issue. She was given instructions by the doctor and asked to return the next day. However, when we came back as instructed to see the same doctor, we were told at reception that we had to pay another consultation fee — and even a higher one. This was very confusing and frustrating, as the doctor himself asked us to return. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the reception staff. They were quite rude and condescending when we asked for clarification, simply stating that it was “hospital policy” without any proper explanation. It is unreasonable that patients are required to pay a full consultation fee every single time they return to see the same doctor for follow-up visits, especially when those visits are requested by the doctor. We have now had to keep paying repeatedly just to continue the same course of treatment. This policy feels exploitative and discouraging, especially for patients who need ongoing care. I hope the hospital reviews this system and improves both its billing transparency and customer service.
    • Chime C. ★★★★★ : Please look into the pharmacy section. The personnel there seem to have lost sight of the primary reason people come to the hospital. Instead of attending promptly to patients, they spend more time chatting among themselves than focusing on their duties. Kindly address this issue to ensure better service delivery.

    • Enemuo C. ★★★★★ : The hospital’s payment system is inefficient and frequently disrupted by network issues. These delays often affect timely access to essential supplies such as medications and oxygen, which is concerning for patient care. The Emergency Unit appears to require payment confirmation before attending to patients, and given the slow and frustrating payment process, this can significantly delay urgent medical intervention. Many hospital facilities and equipment are in poor condition. A considerable number of hospital beds are damaged, with an estimated average of only about 15% being fully functional per ward. This severely impacts patient comfort and capacity. Critical diagnostic results, including CT scans, radiographic imaging, and MRI reports, are often delayed, which can hinder prompt emergency response and treatment decisions. There is also a noticeable shortage of pharmaceutical supplies across wards, including basic necessities such as detergents and tissues. The general environment in several wards appears dusty and poorly maintained, giving an impression of neglect. On a positive note, the doctors and nurses are calm, professional, and dedicated in their interactions with patients. However, there seems to be a lack of coordination and synchronization among the healthcare teams. Overall, the hospital reflects significant systemic challenges that require urgent attention and improvement.

    • Vincent E. ★★★★ : As a medical practitioner specialising in diabetes care, I feel compelled to share this very concerning experience regarding Memfys Hospital, Enugu, and particularly Dr. Mba. Our experience was extremely disappointing and deeply concerning. Despite assurances that the hospital runs a dedicated diabetes clinic with competent care, my mother was placed under the management of Dr. Mba, a doctor who has developed a very troubling reputation. Not only is he consistently reported by other patients to be rude, frustrated, and unprofessional, but my direct experience confirms this: he lacks basic courtesy, speaks with anger, and shows little respect for patients or their families. What is even more alarming is his serious disregard for standard medical practice. Dr. Mba insists that it is acceptable to perform HbA1C and fasting blood glucose tests on patients even after they have eaten heavy meals. This is completely wrong and misleading. For a physician to advise patients in this manner shows either a shocking lack of knowledge or a disregard for proper medical standards. Either case is unacceptable in diabetes management. For clarity: • HbA1C reflects long-term blood sugar control and does not require fasting, but timing and proper patient counselling are critical. • Fasting blood glucose, by definition, must be performed after at least 8 hours of fasting. Conducting it after a patient has eaten invalidates the result and misguides treatment. By insisting otherwise, Dr. Mba risks mismanaging patients, delaying correct treatment, and endangering lives. For a hospital of this size and reputation, it is unacceptable that such misinformation and malpractice are tolerated. I paid millions for my mother’s care here, yet she was exposed to dangerous negligence. I strongly urge the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and relevant authorities to investigate whether Dr. Mba is truly qualified to practice medicine. Until this matter is addressed, patients with diabetes should be very cautious about trusting their care to this hospital under his supervision. As someone with expertise in diabetes treatment, I strongly advise Memfys Hospital to reconsider who they allow to treat vulnerable patients. Families entrust their loved ones to hospitals in hope of competent and compassionate care—not to encounter unprofessionalism, misinformation, and disrespect. Until serious steps are taken, I cannot recommend this hospital, and I urge anyone seeking diabetes care to proceed with extreme caution.
    • Kessie S. ★★★★ : Very terrible hospital, the CT head scan we did 4 days ago isn’t out yet, how do they want the patient to improve when they are sooo reluctant, I am sure if you tip or pay extra your result will be out faster. Bottom line if you don’t have money please don’t go there, they are all about money and not lives.

Frequently asked questions

Which cardiology clinic in Enugu has the most reviews?

St. Mary's Hospital & Maternity has the most reviews with 432, and a rating of 4.7. That is the largest review base among the 16 clinics in Enugu.

Which clinic has the highest rating?

Christian Miracle Hospital has the highest rating at 4.9, but it is based on 36 reviews. A smaller review count means the rating is less statistically robust than one from hundreds of reviews.

How many cardiology clinics are listed in Enugu?

we list 16 cardiology clinics in Enugu. This is the total number of profiles we can confirm, but there may be more operating in the city that we have not yet added.

Why do some clinics have high ratings but few reviews?

A high rating from a small number of reviews, such as NobleLife Consultants Clinic and Diagnostics at 4.5 from 22 reviews, reflects the opinions of those who have reviewed so far. It is not a guarantee of quality, and the rating could change as more people review.

How is the order of the list determined?

The list is ordered by a combination of factors, including the rating and the number of reviews. Clinics with more reviews and higher ratings tend to appear higher, but the exact order also considers other signals like profile completeness and recent activity.
