Akporoguafe R.★★★★★ — I had such an amazing experience at Jara Beach Resort! I visited with a day pass, and honestly, I didn’t expect it to be this much fun. If I had known, I would have definitely booked a night or two.
The service was absolutely top-notch, and the staff were soooo nice, warm, and welcoming. They really made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was fun, relaxing, and perfect for a proper getaway.
Yes, the distance is a bit of a stretch, but it’s 100% worth it. It’s a beautiful escape from the city and perfect for couples, families, or even a fun day out with friends.
I’ll definitely be coming back! 💛
Abisola R.★★★★★ — A home away from home indeed!
The Jara experience was very refreshing!
From the very cordial staff to the serenity of the environment to the menu [Eat, drink, repeat as they like to put on display].
Jara beach is really quite the place of relaxation and they are able to meet all unique needs.
Ofcourse! there is always room for improvement.
I highly recommend them and shout-out to their ever cordial and helpful staff [Praying they stay that way].
OE★★★★★ — Facilities in Nigeria are not typically known for having maintenance culture, but kudos to this establishment for having high maintenance culture and standards.
This facility feels like an oasis, a rose amongst thorns. The location lets it down slightly, as the road, street lighting, poor signage on the way to the venue may be discouraging, until you arrive and appreciate the facilities, services and friendly customer support.
Mr Sam, his front of desk team and the kitchen/restaurant staff were fantastic. It was my sister's birthday and she got a splendid thoughtful reception, with everyone singing best wishes and a customised cake free. You made her day, thank you.
Overall its a 5 star, i would come again, but i would ask the management to consider collaborating with other establishments nearby and local government to provide better roads, street lights leading to these excellent venues, which would only improve quality of life for the local community and encourage more customer interest to boost small businesses and grow local economy.
Thank you Ziba resort for an experience my elderly parents, birthday Sis and myself will remember warmly. Cheers.

Sodiq A.★★★★★ — Lovely ambience, amazing staff. I enjoyed my stay at Ziba Beach Resort. The direction guidance we got from the Guest Relations Team on the check in day really helped in finding the place easily.
The staff were very courteous and kind.
The activities at the place are really enjoyable. Oh and the pool is so good and clean.
Gabrielle P★★★★★ — this hotel's management is beyond poor/ it is shocking it's a Marriott brand, made me want to leave Lagos early which is a great vibrant city.
lobby/bar are great. hotel staff are generally extremely helpful and friendly. dining staff and chef are exceptional and great. only reasons I didn't immediately check out after first couple of days.
ownership has completely failed to ensure there is effective management or that staff receive adequate training to do their job. experience was so poor I refused to allow others to stay there who I booked at encanto lodge nearby and had 100% better experience than me.
when I complained of not having hot water for a week and wanted a discount for that week, front desk laughed - obviously not having been trained well in dealing with guests. eventually I was given a complimentary night after I went back to reception to follow up the next day.
problems:
inadequate light in first room I was in, so that I couldn't see well for some days, had to insist on getting an additional lamp or light bulbs and was given an explanation that staff would have to go to the market to buy some
bulbs
floor was extremely dirty and obviously not clean. my feet were very black after walking around in room unpacking for 30 mins. had to complain twice and ask for floor to be cleaned and it seems staff were not equipped with an actual mop to do the job so there was improvement but not resolved
water in shower was an issue, just a drip and not hot for a week. after multiple complaints had to demand to speak to manager and even after that it wasn't resolved. was moved to another room eventually after a week and even then had to complain again after which I finally was able to have a hot shower.
booked a meeting room and instead of adding it to my hotel bill my meeting was interrupted several times to make payment earlier. so we didn't make any other meeting room bookings since expensive and inconvenient.
bed was against curtain which was strange only to discover a balcony door which it seems the hotel discourages guests from using due to it overlooking a homeless community leaving in tents. this cannot be helped but the guest should be told there is another door in the room and not hidden from the room occupant. this caused me a lot of anxiety as I felt the room may not be secure
breakfast is great but limited options for people who eat fish. same menu every day/should be some changes so guests want to stay longer. staff should not be made to look as if they are rushing guests so that staff can serve themselves breakfast at end of breakfast time
ironing board I was given had cover holes and there was no excuse for this, it's just a hotel that can't be bothered
gym is a very small unattractive room in back of hotel without basics like a mirror, TV or water so that you will not want to work out there at all
the pools floor is brown so it's unclear if there is moss or the tiles are just discoloured. as I didn't want to take a chance and get sick I didn't use the pool at all
booked for 3 weeks and if possible will check out early.
Mr E.★★★★★ — The staff here are incredibly unprofessional and incompetent. They canceled my room reservation because of their stupidity. I had booked a reservation using points, presented my ID, and printed a copy of my reservation. Then, they started asking me for the ID of my partner, which I eventually provided. However, they continued to ask for other unnecessary information. I contacted Marriott, who informed me that they shouldn’t be asking for such information, as all they need is under the booking profile. Despite this, the staff continued to stress me out.
rufai R.★★★★★ — I left ogba lagos around 7:30 and got there around 10, The place is very nice to catch a breathe, however its far from town, there weren’t tour guards explaining where the available games were. This left us walking around and trying out activities we don’t even know the names. The food was also not a hit and cost us 15 k per plate. But as long as you go with people you want to create memories with, its really worth the visit.
Oke O.★★★★★ — La Campagne Tropicana has a good access road just rebuilt by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Quality neat Beach on the Atlantic.
Beautiful fresh water lake for both rides and biking on the lake. Very pleasant for a whole family.
The low light is poor safety equipment and devices or the lack of them. No enough Life Savers in the lake.
Ufua A.★★★★★ — Yolo Island has a really chill and cool ambience. It is a nice resort to go and unwind. I gave 4 stars because my food wasn't fully cooked and the music was turned off 😞. It felt like we were being chased away. However, I'd like to visit again.
Sdhd R.★★★★★ — I had an amazing time with my family. The customer service was exceptional and Mr Sodiq and Mr Anthony did make my stay very memorable. Shoutout to them and I definitely if you’re looking for a getaway from the urban life. Look forward to next time
EHIZOJIE E.★★★★★ — It was a great and memorable experience at ATICAN Beach Resort. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great holiday resort in Lagos Nigeria 🇳🇬
O B★★★★★ — To improve tourism, there needs to be better oversight of the beaches.
The DJ was fantastic, the relaxation scenery great but everything was exploitative. A seat cost upwards of N20,000 and Coconut Water in excess of N2,000
The horse riders are a pest, and everyone else trying to sell you one thing or another.
Town, Turn at Aradagun Bus Stop Do NOT branch at Mowo, Whispering Palms Iworo Road, off Lagos Badagry Express Way, Amuwo Odofin, Badagry 100101, Lagos, Nigeria
Review analysis
Large resort with mini zoo and waterfront, but dated facilities and remote location.
Carriage M.★★★★★ — Very big, warm staffs but the facility is now old although maintained and the distance from the Lagos-Badagry expressway is something to consider. Otherwise, its a nice place to be.
Odulele A.★★★★★ — The zoo had only Monkeys and Crocodile.
There was nobody to guide us around as we were told that the guide was busy.
The road to the place was good and the place is unmistakable.
Nice waterfront
Daniel★★★★★ — "Unfortunately, the service at this hotel was very disappointing. The staff did not pay proper attention to customers and seemed uninterested in helping. We had to wait for a long time, and even then our concerns were ignored. Customer service needs serious improvement.
Chisom★★★★★ — This hotel is an emblem of what living in Lagos is like. By this, I mean overpriced, but for nothing.
While at this hotel, there was no regard to the peace and comfort of the occupants because loud music was being blasted for over three hours. In addition to that, the electricity was terrible, and this cause me to sleep in a hot room without air conditioning.
The unique selling point of the hotel which is it's beach view is not so true, because of the costal road that was built, and I think the hotel needs serious maintenance.
Taku S★★★★★ — I had a horrible experience and would not recommend anyone to visit this place.
The place is unmaintained and literally falling apart.
The floors at the pool area are dirty. The furniture is extremely old, rusty & broken down.
They also hide the true cost of the area. They are not upfront about it, but will charge separately for entrance and using the swimming pool. Beware of this!
The pool water itself is still and is not constantly being filtered or cleaned! This means the water gets heated by the sun very quickly and is no longer refreshing swim in, during the hot summer days.
We also had works and construction happening during our “relaxation”. We were surrounded by the sound of grinders and hammering which meant it was not relaxing at all!!
Overall a terrible terrible experience! I would highly recommend avoiding this place.
Sonex I.★★★★★ — The hotel in on the beach, and it's pretty easy to locate, right next to another beach hotel. I won't call either of them a resort..
Adequate security, well lit car park. Food and drinks are available at a relatively high price so there is an equally high corkage to discourage you from bringing your own food and drinks.
The pool is highly chlorinated
bassey E.★★★★★ — Beach is quite serene and carved from the noise. You get a sense of considerable maintenance of the place.
You'd need a boat ride of about 30-45 minutes from the Jetty on admiralty. Getting there, you'd get a ride in SUVs to the beach. The beach house is neat and spacious with a lounge and a bar. Swimming pool at the centre outside with surrounding area to sit and chill. Surrounding that area is a large span of sandy area with palm and coconut tress for various activities of your choice like beach football, beach volleyball, etc.
Beach is great for corporate parties, team bonding and the likes.
Alan T.★★★★★ — A very warm welcome, professional reception helped me swiftly to a need and comfortable room. The service was excellent quality of food was brilliant and the feel of the place made me relaxed and comfortable. A must try .
Emmanuel E.★★★★★ — Once number One awesome getaway location in Lagos, now an eye saw. The place is rundown and shot down, with neverending talks of renovation. Some even say that some Politicians in Lagos are converting it to private property. No wonder the entire visibility has been starved of electricity for over a decade.
Olaoluwa O.★★★★★ — Mismanagemet is the problem at this hotel. The 24 hour period we were there, no electricity, and water because their generator was bad. We had paid this hotel a week in advance before coming, yet they couldn’t prepare well enough for guests. We ended up not being able to use the rooms. I hope they fix their problems.
Emad K.★★★★★ — If not for an event I was attending I would never stay at a place like this...the water barely ran, the electricity was switched off in the morning even though the hotel was filled with customers for the event, the light bulbs were mostly burnt. There was no food service so we were forced to get food from elsewhere and the service was probably the worst I have ever encountered...ordered for a simple bottle of water and it never came to my room. 👎👎👎
