Richard C. ★★★★★ : The food they serve is sooooo delicious that you'll always want to go back for more, they serve very tasty jollof rice, I'm not really a fan of friend rice but their fried rice is actually okay, their chicken is good, they are the reason I started eating coleslaw my entire life, overall it's good food

Ayomide E. ★★★★★ : Honestly, I believe if you're making egusi soup or so for the public, you should state the ingredients or proteins in it! The last time I had the egusi soup, it was full of fresh fish cuts, scales and all manner- I don't like fresh fish in soup. It was such a horrible experience having to taste fish in my soup without prior notice. I Just had to leave it. Please when serving there has to be prior Info that this and this is what is in it... it wasn't even stock fish, maybe that would have been excuseable- but fresh fish! And the ogunfe was too bony! No meat to eat at all! That experience was chaotic.

Richard C. ★★★★★ : Honestly, I had amala, ewedu and gbegiri here and I honestly can't qualify what I had here with words, It was sweet and delicious and the cow meat? Splendid though they can do better in terms of the meat softness it's too soft it can be more meaty not just soft but asides that, it was awesome
Olusegun B. ★★★★★ : I've known this restaurant for years and I patronize them a lot. I'm happy to say that the standard has not dropped. It will amaze you to know that they have included continental dishes in their menu. I would have thought they would maintain their niche market but that is a conversation for another day. The ambience is cozy, only that inside is a bit hot and the fans are only circulating the hot air. They have a wide array of meals all with that local touch. I ate pounded yam (not poundoyam), mixed egusi & vegetable soup richly garnished with ponmo and dry fish. Parking space might be an issue especially during their peak periods.

Seye O. ★★★★★ : This is a good place to get jollof rice and fried rice in Zango, Ilorin. The food is generally enjoyable, although I sometimes notice a slightly sweet taste in the rice, which makes me wonder if an extra ingredient is being added. The chicken could also be improved, as it can be a bit tough to chew at times. One thing I really appreciate is their pickup service. You can place an order from home through their app, and by the time you arrive, your food is already packaged and ready to go. Delivery is also convenient through Chowdeck, and I've received orders at my home in less than 10 minutes on some occasions. Overall, the meals are decent and convenient, but the restaurant tends to get very crowded, especially at night, and better crowd management would greatly improve the customer experience.
Aina ★★★★★ : Delicious recipes, excellent service, serene environment

Just G. ★★★★★ : It is located by the roadside along Fate Road. There is quiet a number of customers been attended to every time I have visited. While food portion is generally okay, tasted nice and not really pricey, I find it quite amusing that some items like bottle water, takeway pack and ponmo are pricey. Also, the wash hand basin tap isn't working, air circulation is poor and their overall service needs improvement.

Leye O. ★★★★★ : I am among the top 10% restaurant reviewers in Lagos, so I take food experiences seriously. I never knew this brand started in Ilorin until someone mentioned it to me. That curiosity led me to visit, and since then I’ve been paying close attention to how they operate. Their new branch in Oniru is also close to my office, which has given me more opportunity to observe and study how they run their operations. One thing that immediately stood out is consistency. The rice I tasted in Lagos was exactly the same as the one in Ilorin — same flavor, same quality. That level of recipe discipline is not easy to maintain across locations. Their brand design is bold and distinctive, making the restaurants easy to recognize. Their service is also impressively fast, which I experienced across the different branches I visited. For these reasons, I’m giving them 5 stars — well deserved. I’m looking forward to seeing this brand expand across Nigeria and eventually across Africa. And who knows — one day we might see them listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. To the management team: you are doing a great job. Keep building — but start thinking Pan-African… and eventually global.

How to choose safely

What to check before choosing restaurants in Ilorin

Rankings are a starting point. For this category, these are the checks that most often separate a useful recommendation from a risky one.

Check recency
Restaurants change fast. Recent reviews and photos matter more than old popularity signals.
Match the occasion
Confirm ambience, parking, reservation rules, family-friendliness, and menu availability before going.
Watch consistency
Repeated comments about service speed, cleanliness, portions, and pricing are more useful than one viral review.
