Sharon C. ★★★★★ : Wow! We were completely blown away by the food. The Jollof rice is hands down the best we’ve tasted in all our travels across Africa. The chicken was incredibly juicy and cooked to absolute perfection, and the salad was wonderfully fresh and crisp. The banana with the spicy sauce was also a standout, such a delicious and unique combination for us. Every single flavour on the plate was phenomenal. Without a doubt, this is the best Nigerian food we’ve had, and honestly, one of the best meals we’ve had anywhere in Africa so far.

Michael S. ★★★★★ : I recently visited the restaurant and honestly had a really great time. The atmosphere is super chill and vibey—one of those places where you can relax, have a good conversation, and just enjoy the moment. The staff were warm and attentive, and the service was smooth from start to finish. The food was also really good—well prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The only thing I’d say is that it’s a bit on the pricey side, but the overall experience, quality of the food, and the great vibe of the place definitely make it worth checking out. If you’re looking for a nice spot to unwind and enjoy good food, this place is a solid choice. A solid 10/10 🍽️✨

Luis O ★★★★★ : Kept us waiting because they had to attend to bendel insurance players before anyone else. I am not sure why that was a thing but it was. Food was okay and the staff were polite
Omodagie F. ★★★★★ : I visited Kiligrill at Ekenwan Road in Benin City today and had a disappointing experience. When my partner politely asked if our order was ready, a staff responded rudely, which was quite unprofessional. Customer service should be much better than this. I hope management addresses staff attitude at this branch.

Patrick I. ★★★★★ : I am giving a 3 star rating for service because when I made a return visit with my family on the 7th of June 2026, the staff and cashier who served us deliberately inflated my bill with 30k thinking I wasn't going to check it. When I pointed it out , they claimed it was a mistake. But I feel strongly that 30k was too huge an amount to make a mistake on.

How to choose safely

What to check before choosing restaurants in Benin City

Rankings are a starting point. For this category, these are the checks that most often separate a useful recommendation from a risky one.

Check recency
Restaurants change fast. Recent reviews and photos matter more than old popularity signals.
Match the occasion
Confirm ambience, parking, reservation rules, family-friendliness, and menu availability before going.
Watch consistency
Repeated comments about service speed, cleanliness, portions, and pricing are more useful than one viral review.
