joy O.★★★★★ — Nice experience for a first-time order from Pepper Soup Lounge. The catfish tastes really good!
Kemi B.★★★★★ — I ordered pepper soup and it said the location is The Peppersoup Lounge, 6 Agungi Ajiran Rd, LGA, Lekki 105108, Lagos. The Uber guy took over 2 hours to get to me and said the restaurant is in Ikeja which cause me over 8,000 naira in uber. This is ridiculous. Why would you lie about your location!? I would have not ordered if the location is in ikeja. Please be aware of this when you order food here
Richard B.★★★★★ — With two of my colleagues from work, this is our favorite place to eat swallow, and we have been multiple times with no complaints.
The service is great, the staff is courteous and I have only had to wait for my food longer than I'd have liked just once out of the several times that I have been there.
You can even phone ahead before you get there.
The food is very nicely prepared and tasty. I usually have the Oha soup with Pounded Yam or Poundo.
I can vouch for the Afang and Fisherman's Soup too.
Did I mention that they have cocktails? 😁
The ambience is serene, low-volume music would be an improvement but you wouldn't mind not having it. They have chairs and sofas, with seating arrangements for different possible groups; two-person date, groups of three or four, even a family table. There is also a small outdoor balcony area to seat maybe two sets of two people each.
I like to sit upstairs but there is a nice space downstairs, the kitchen is also downstairs as well as the bar for drinks.
The only downside is parking. The designated parking space is the horizontal area right in front of the entrance.
It can park only 3 cars, the alternative option would be street parking.
All that being written, they definitely earn a 5-star in my books.
wasiu S.★★★★★ — Had a family dinner here. Nice ambience and food was okay. Just that the fisherman soup can be much better in terms of the richness in the proteins. Howver, the kids loved the jollof rice and the egusi was on point.
A good place to have nice meal and friendly hangout.
Jewel Ok★★★★★ — This is my favourite authentic Nigerian restaurant. The food was amazing. The chef here is outstanding when it comes to local
Cuisines. Definitely worth visiting for the best local fresh products. Lovely decor with indoor and outdoor dining. The food took some time to make an appearance. I guess it’s because everything is made from scratch. We played board games as we waiting patiently. Food is Not microwaved. Great customer experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. We hope to visit again soon.
Rafiat A.★★★★★ — We had a podcast hangout event and it was a good and pleasant experience expect for some small management issues at the end. The servers were very polite and friendly. The food was average and the overall decor wasn't bad.
Tamilore O★★★★★ — I ordered pepper soup at about 1:50 PM and as of 4:03 PM, the food had still not been delivered and dispatch hadn’t even arrived.
What’s most disappointing is that this is not a one-off issue. I’ve been patronizing this business for over two years, and delayed deliveries have been a consistent problem every single time. After waiting several hours, all that’s usually offered is an apology.
For a brand that positions itself as the “Jagaban/Odogwu of pepper soup,” the service does not match the reputation. Timely delivery and proper communication are basic expectations, especially for repeat customers.
I hope this review helps the business take delivery and customer service more seriously.
tolu B.★★★★★ — The best peppersoup in Lagos . Excellent food and service 👌
