Deji★★★★★ — Been hearing about this place for a while and decided to try it out a few days ago. The food isn’t bad but it took about an hour for us to get it.
Milkshake was a bit too watery. Plantain and chips were superb. The fish was good-ish, it was easy to notice that it wasn’t fresh though.
Someone was having a birthday there and the noise was unbearable. I feel it would have made more sense if they booked the full restaurant for a few hours rather than mixing with other diners.

Don S.★★★★★ — There food were nice but it doesn't making sense eating inside heat, we understand the economy of the country, you can do better to get fan once since your outlet is a closed one.
rukayat★★★★★ — When they say, staff that represent your brand , I had a lovely experience today 20th dec 2025. I and my hubby came from lagos to ibadan for a weeding, we were searching frantically for a place to eat, we drove pass a particular fast food and we were reversing and ultima was just a before them, ultima security guard named Abdul Rasheed, stopped us and said are we not eating, we said we were going to the next fast food, boy! he started advertising for Ultima, we should try them, he listed all the food they had , sincerely his marketing prowess got us, and did we regret it no! The food was vey good and the fresh juice was a bang.
Yuki S.★★★★★ — I had a very bad experience here the waiter were rude the drink came late,we ordered for chicken wings and it took them over one hour to tell us later that it was not ready but the manager later came to apologize for the whole scenario apart from that there is a Photo Booth

Crystal O.★★★★★ — This restaurant is a scam. Waitress said no prawns offered of shrimp cocktail brought us mayonnaise and bread. Waitress had horrible attitude and would’ve gotten a &50 usd tip if she didn’t
Rebecca A.★★★★★ — I've been coming here over the years to enjoy hummus and the quality of the food has never changed.
The service could be more fine tunned by management.
Oluwatosin A.★★★★★ — A wonderful experience. Good music and lovely atmosphere
Bolaji I.★★★★★ — Modern Garden Bar with a siding of indoor VIP Lounge in the quiet neighborhood of Onireke.
Nice kitchen with varied menu ranging from finger foods through pepper soups and grills to whole meals.
A couple of well-appointed rooms available for a quick shower or short meeting away from prying eyes(&/or listening ears)
Ideal for the after-work crowd or the smooth biz person with a taste for an outdoor adventure.
Sonex I.★★★★★ — An upscale restaurant that also has a "lounge." Rather unassuming facade but pretty unique decor and ambience. Abundant seating of different settings.
Okay bathrooms, clean, at least the male.
The service was pretty decent, and the waitress, Afisat, was nice and attentive, easy to interact with, extremely polite.
The food came on time, preceded by steaming hot towels. 👍🏽
I had Edikanikon (sic) with semo, quite tasty. The semo came in local pot, lined with leaves. Nice local touch, in a contemporary setting. The portions were generous.
My friend had the fisherman fried rice, which he said was surprisingly very nice and tasty. The presentation of the rice was quite nice as well. His friend had fried rice which he also said tasted nice as well.
The ac was not as cold as it should be though. There was limited parking, would be chaotic if they have a full house.
Overall experience, I'll rate them a 7.5.
Awe D.★★★★★ — The restaurant was pretty good, on getting in you’re met with a very dim almost dark atmosphere with some ethnic/woody elements in the decor, it’s a nice idea but they could supplement with more bright lights to aid visibility and clearer pictures.
I ordered chicken-suya pizza and the cheese was sufficient (compared to Dominos pizza) but not really tasty.
The customer service was okay, nothing extra special, I guess we were invisible to the waiters for a while.
Overall it was nice experience
James J.★★★★★ — Absolutely delicious and comforting! Countryside Peppersoup bursts with authentic flavors that warm the soul. Perfectly spiced and made with quality ingredients definitely my go-to for a tasty, homemade pepper soup experience.
Patience A.★★★★★ — They make extra speacial peppersoup... and its shockingly affordable... my whole family loved it. and their delivery time is always spot on...

This is the backstory.
Bought Afang soup from them on the 8th of April 2024 for a friend of mine, She was hospitalized due to the Excessive sharp bones that were added.
She dismissed my feeling when I reported to her.
And I just took it as a chef error.
The second time, I ordered again on the 9th of May 2024, I hate catfish so much because they make me throw up, she added it to my food, I reported to her and she blamed me for not specifying my preference, I took the blame.
Then today dated 30th of November 2024, I ordered for assorted Peppersoup for my guest and after waiting for hours, the peppersoup came with little or no pepper, she(my guest) spat out the peppersoup as fast as she could because of how terribly it tasted, it tasted like A chemical
Was added to it and smelled badly too.
I called again and this time she blamed me again!!
That it is not true and I am lying as this is not the first time she is selling “Same quality and same smell” and none of her customers have ever complained.
I have bought from this brand so often and I peacefully asked for a refund, Dropped my account and told them to send my refund and pick their food because after about an hour, my guest started purging(there are video evidence)
I am writing here that this brand sells food poisoning!
There is no adequate food control and they might end up messing with your body!
They have refused to make my refund and I will be tagging Nafdac and food control agency to check their office for adequate investigation
Beauty M.★★★★★ — Wow, what an incredible culinary experience! South South Kitchen is the best Nigerian Food and is a hidden gem that truly exceeded my expectations. The flavors are authentic and bold, transporting me straight to the heart of Ibadan. The jollof rice, fried rice, and egusi melon soup, are must-tries - each dish is expertly prepared and presented with love. The service is warm and welcoming, making me feel like family. 5 stars isn't enough; I'd give it 10 stars if I could! If you're craving genuine Nigerian cuisine, look no further than South South Kitchen. Can't wait to order again!
Thank You Glory Awoli

Ogunlashe F.★★★★★ — love the peppersoup i had. it was filling and tasty.
Olayode B.★★★★★ — It's one of the available spots for relaxation on the campus of University of Ibadan. It is located at the Junior Staff Quarters Abadina shortly after the UI Hotels and Conference Centre.
It has a naturally cool environment and is usually busier in the evenings.
You can eat in or have take outs. Take outs are usually better if you have children as environment is more for Adults.
