    • Temitope A. ★★★★★ I see why they call this place the OG . My experience was a 10/10 primaryly because of the family / kid friendliness. It was pretty easy to locate via Google Maps and we enjoyed every bit of our visit . I had brunch with my family and the ambience was nice , staff were courteous , it was truly money well spent . my kids had a swel time while my husband and I were eating . They kids play area is definitely an attraction and kept the kids entertained the whole time we were there . We had rice , taco’s, fruit juice and a strawberry milk shake . Total money spent was around 60,000 naira approximately. They definitely lived up to their hype and I’d definitely visit again .

The games are very affordable too—bowling costs just ₦7,500, and other games start from ₦2,500 and above, which makes it easy to have fun without breaking the bank. They’ve got great ice cream and tasty snacks, and upstairs you’ll find snooker for even more fun. I had an ice cream there that I honestly hadn’t tasted since I was a kid 😂 pure nostalgia! • OLAMIDE A. ★★★★★ I visited Crossover recently and had such a pleasant experience from start to finish. From the parking area, the welcome was warm and organized. My friend kept teasing me that the food portions were so big I wouldn’t finish mine and would definitely be asking for a takeaway pack, she wasn’t wrong. We were seated upstairs, great ambience and a cooling system that actually worked (always a plus). Our drinks arrived first, the orange juice I ordered tasted freshly made not the watery kind and it was really refreshing. When the food came, I understood the warnings. I ordered poundo yam with seafood okro, and the portion was massive rich, well-seasoned, and loaded I genuinely enjoyed every bite. The background music was a nice touch early 2000s throwbacks that had us singing along at some point. It made the whole atmosphere feel relaxed and fun. Special mention to our waiter, MaryJane. She was polite, attentive, and handled everything smoothly without hovering. She made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back and next time, I’m trying something other than swallow (though it’ll be hard to resist).

It was too DELISH that I ordered for another plate. The ambience is nice, the space is very CLEAN and our server Emmanuel went above and beyond! Emmanuel truly deserves employee of the year. Also, the beautiful lady with the all back braids taught us how to play Ayo. She was so sweet and has a charming smile. I’ll visit again soonest.

    • Tishaun H. ★★★★★ It took about 30 minutes for My husband bowl of catfish pepper soup, the first bowl had rubbery catfish in the bowl so they remade it and brought a smaller bowl of soup I ordered the Bistro signature chicken The sauce was good but the chicken was pretty dry and chewy. I'm taking a trip to Lagos in a few weeks so I was excited when I saw the name me and my husband thought that our experience was going to be something to remember but this one was easily forgettable. The one thing that I did see that was interesting is there were a few attractions that we could go to on our way to the restaurant but I am rating the restaurant not the attractions.
    • Jumoke ★★★★★ Lagos Bistro will take you straight to Lagos! I really love the entire Lagos-themed there. I’m not a fan of Lagos, but I was genuinely intrigued, if I had never been to Lagos, this place would probably make me want to book a flight to experience it. I guess that’s the whole point! 😂 My dear friend took me there, and interestingly, it’s in the same spot as the Art Tech District, so you can easily stop by before or after visiting there. The staff are well-trained, polite, and friendly. We had the Jambalaya native rice, and it was good. The space is also very cosy and perfect for a private date. There are different seating options you can sit outside, or inside either downstairs or upstairs depending on whether you want a quiet, private time or a more open and relaxed experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

The half chicken was really 1/4th chicken. It had no real taste and was dry but the texture was good. It came with some complimentary garlic bread(?) which was quite tasty. The ceasar salad was not really a ceaser salad but more of what they think a ceaser salad might be. It had no lettuce, no croutons or ceaser dressing or anything that involves making a ceasar salad, although it did have onions... We chose to eat outside which was a bad choice because of the flies which nearly spoiled our already dissapointing food. When we told someone, the answer we got was "sorry." The upper-outside level we stayed on did have a nice view of the surrounding area, but that is about it. Me and my wife were very dissapointed with the overall experience for the price we paid.

One thing that really stands out is their wide variety of rice dishes — from Chinese rice, jambalaya, pilaf, native rice, jollof, coconut rice, and more. Honestly, it’s the most variety of rice I’ve seen in one restaurant. The prices are very affordable, making it one of the best budget-friendly places to eat in Abuja. • Banor A. ★★★★ My wife was craving Nkwobi, so I searched Google for a nice place where we could hang out and satisfy her craving. I saw a few options but chose this place because of its Igbo name, “Okonkwo,” expecting authentic Igbo dishes. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. My wife ordered Nkwobi while I ordered Abacha. When the food arrived, neither met basic expectations. The Nkwobi had no real Nkwobi taste. The sauce was not thick as it should be with potash; instead, it seemed like red oil fried with onions, lacking the traditional flavour completely. The Abacha was also poorly prepared. There was no utazi, the ugba was very scanty, and instead of fish (which is the proper protein), it was served with chicken. Even then, the chicken portion was very small and not worth the price. This experience was disappointing, especially given the expectations set by the name of the restaurant. Management really needs to improve on the preparation of these dishes. I can’t speak for other meals, but for Abacha and Nkwobi, it’s a no for me. Honestly, it didn’t feel like these meals were prepared by people familiar with authentic Igbo cooking.
