I had a terrible experience with Calculux Transport Company on a recent journey from Lagos to Calabar (February 2025). The staff in Lagos were very rude and discriminatory (they body shame and look down on a customer's body size)
The bus was overloaded with luggage, which kept falling on me SEVERAL TIMES, although I didn't get injured thank God, else I'd have chased them with the law. We're talking about heavy cartons and heavy bags!
This was not only uncomfortable but also unsafe. But the worst part was when the police found a parcel with hard drugs worth over ₦1 million. We were delayed for hours and arrived in Calabar a day late.
For years, I've always had a terrible experience with their Lagos staff but I drew the line at the hard drugs incident to NEVER use their services again!
The company doesn't care about passenger safety or comfort. I strongly advise against using their services. They're not safe or reliable.
On a slightly positive note, the staff in Calabar are friendly and welcoming, which was a stark contrast to the poor behavior of the Lagos staff, still it's not enough to redeem the company's overall poor service.

I have a complaint about our branch in Jos. The Workers over there - Jos Plateau State EXPLOITING her passengers. This morning my Mom took a package, nothing to be a distraction or disturbance while loading up. A passenger was willing to have it, and deliver it to me here in Ugep. But the driver and the management insisted that the package must be paid for at N5, 000. The driver insisted that, if the passenger coming to Ugep collects the package, he'll be dropped at the park. Honestly, I really find it difficult to accept what just happened this morning. Meanwhile, I have collected a package for someone and delivered it myself. Please, I'm calling the attention of the Management in Calabar to do something about this exploitation, or else I'll do it myself. The driver's name is Edet.
