We placed an order for nkwobi and palm wine. The drinks were served within minutes. Moments later, the waitress came to inquire from us if we wanted cow tail or goat head nkwobi. We asked for one cow tail and one goat head. She left. Few minutes later, she approached our table again to inform us that both the cow tail and goat head is not available anymore (why did you give us the option in the first place if they were not available?) and that all they have is the “goat body” (her exact words). We said fine, get is two plates of the goat meat nkwobi. She left.. lo and behold, less than two minutes later, she was approaching our table again to inform us that the goat meat is not available too in other words, Nkwobi is not available anymore. Up until today, I cannot wrap my head around what happened that day. We were the only two customers there that afternoon. We paid for drinks and left before our afternoon gets more ruined than it already was. My personal experience at that establishment was not good at all.

The arena is open daily, with slightly extended hours on Wednesday & Friday nights: Monday - Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 11:30 PM & Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM. Thursday is from 8:00 AM – 11:30 PM while Friday is 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM. Saturday - Sunday is 8:00 AM – 11:30 PM. The place specializes in Nigerian cuisine, particularly grilled goat meat (a local favorite), succulent beef skewers, & spicy grilled chicken etc. Perfectly situated in Independence Layout, but also close to the New Haven District of the town, this grill restaurant is not just a meal stop, but a culinary journey that captures the essence of Enugu & the eastern region. The venue features a large open-air sit-out area, pool tables (snooker) & viewing centers with large flat screen televisions for live football matches. Also, it often hosts karaoke nights (typically Fridays) & live music displays on select nights. The bar boasts an extensive drinks menu (cocktails, local drinks, & wine), restroom facilities, & both free & paid exclusive parking options. Generally, the environment is "cosy," & "safe,". It is highly recommended for group outings, dates, & family gatherings. The outfit is outstanding for it's vibrant flavors with authentic taste of Nigeria, especially the grill restaurant & offerings of delicious indigenous meals in a very lively atmosphere. The favourite offerings are the grilled goat meat & fresh fish peppersoup. The fresh fish peppersoup commences with the customer having to point out the preferred fish from a pond containing numerous fishes, alive & swimming around. Then the preparation of the fish meal commences. Usually the process takes about 45 minutes - one hour. Worth the wait while you take your drinks, I will say. The weekends normally have live music & other entertainments to create a festive atmosphere. Though the facility is massive, but it won't be a bad idea to make a reservation for larger groups to ensure good seating. The ambiance is vibrant & welcoming, whether one is a casual diner or for those celebrating special occasions. Whether you desire spicy grilled chicken, succulent beef skewers, or vegetarian options, there is something to satisfy every palate. The meals are complemented with refreshing beverages, including local drinks that enhance the dining experience. To this regard, fresh palmwine is always available. Even the restaurant’s decor reflects the local culture, providing an immersive experience that connects to the region’s history & traditions. One of the highlights of dining at Bush House Arena is the opportunity to experience the local flavors through their signature dishes. Whether you're enjoying a meal with family or friends, the warmth of the place is commendable. There're numerous staff deployed to attend to customers. They are uniformed for ease of identification & usually assigned to specific tables to attend to diners. This makes administration very easy & seamless. The staff are uniformed, very polite & attentive. I commend the establishment on this arrangement. The arena mostly has an open air arrangement with it's spacious layout coupled with spectacular architecture & engineering which allows for relaxed dining & lounging. There is ample parking spaces available & uniformed security personnel employed around the facility. Bush House Arena is definitely a delightful experience that captures the rich culinary heritage of Enugu & the region in general
