From the very first moment you arrive, you can immediately feel that the property was designed with comfort, organization, and guest experience in mind. The entire architectural concept is well planned. The apartment and building structures are arranged in a way that gives guests privacy and peace without unnecessary disturbance from surrounding areas, which creates a very calm atmosphere throughout the stay. Once you enter the building, you are welcomed by a spacious lobby area directly connected to the reception. The environment feels open, modern, and organized. One thing I especially appreciated is the smart interior layout. On the same floor, through beautiful glass doors, you have direct access to the swimming pool area, dining hall, and gym, which makes the overall guest experience very practical and enjoyable. The rooms are very well maintained, clean, and comfortable at all times. Housekeeping deserves special recognition because every request was handled quickly and professionally. Whether it was additional room support, cleaning requests, or small guest needs, the team responded immediately and politely. Guests staying on the upper floors are also rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view over Katsina city, especially during the evening hours. I have stayed here before, and I can honestly say the dining experience has improved noticeably. The chef in the dining hall is clearly doing a much better job this time. The meals served were fresh, properly prepared, and enjoyable. The breakfast variety was decent, and the presentation of the dishes showed attention to quality. Another thing worth mentioning is the professionalism and friendliness of many of the staff members. Most employees are respectful, welcoming, and genuinely trying to make guests feel comfortable throughout their stay. The environment overall feels safe, organized, and far above the standard commonly found in the region. My only recommendation would be for a better dining hall environment and the management to continue investing in employee training regarding operational speed and decision-making. Room service orders sometimes took longer than expected, and the reception team could improve further in making faster decisions during busy periods. Small improvements in these areas would easily elevate the hotel to an even higher level. Other than that, Hillside Royal Suites is doing an outstanding job and truly sets the hospitality benchmark in Katsina State. If you are looking for comfort, cleanliness, good facilities, privacy, security, and a relaxing environment, this hotel is definitely the best choice in Katsina.
