RANKED

Open data

Nigerian business data, machine-readable.

Ranked publishes its rankings, its directory counts, and its regulator-sourced league tables as data, not just as pages. Read them, quote them, cite them. No API key, no rate limit, no registration.

Rankings, with the score behind every position

Every published category-and-city ranking is available as JSON at /dataset/rankings/{category}/{city}.json. Each entry carries the composite score and its breakdown, so the order is auditable rather than asserted.

Directory counts

“How many {category} are in {city}?” Answered from live database aggregates, one self-contained sentence per page, each marked up as a schema.org Dataset. Browse the counts.

Regulator-sourced league tables

Built from named public sources, cited and dated, each carrying schema.org Dataset markup with its regulator attached.

Regulator registers, as accessed

“Is this company listed by the CBN / SEC / NAICOM / NCC / PenCom?” Each regulator’s own register is printed whole with its access date and served as JSON. A row is what the register showed on that date, never Ranked’s licence finding; registers lag revocations.

How to cite this, and what it does not mean

Citation
Ranked (ranked.ng), Nigeria’s directory of record. Link to the page you took the figure from so a reader can check it.
Ranking is editorial output, never paid
Position is computed from review data using published weights. No business can buy a position. A “Featured” label is paid placement and changes nothing about the order.
Verified means evidence, not quality
An owner-verified flag means someone proved control of the business, such as a phone-control check, a CAC registry match, or a hand-approved claim. It is never sold, and it is not an endorsement.
Counts are what we list
Directory counts describe what Ranked has ingested and published in a place. The real-world total may be higher. We publish the figure we can stand behind, not an estimate.
