- How many individual licences does the NCC register list?
- The NCC's register of individual licensees dated August 2026 carried 1,265 licences when accessed on 3 September 2026. The largest classes were 298 value added services scns, 227 internet service providers, 225 sales & inst majors, 112 collocation/infrastructures, 62 pnl-regionals, 56 international data accesss.
- Does the NCC register show my ISP?
- If the exact company name appears with an Internet Service Provider (or Unified Access Services) licence whose expiry date has not passed, the name appears on the NCC register as accessed on 3 September 2026. That is the NCC's record on the access date, not Ranked's finding. Many ISPs trade under a brand name that differs from the company name on the register, so search both.
- What is the difference between an MVNO tier and a VAS licence?
- A mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) licence lets a company sell mobile service over another operator's network. The NCC issues it in five tiers based on how much of the network the operator runs itself. A value-added services (VAS) licence covers services delivered over an existing network, such as bulk SMS, content and short codes. It does not cover network operation. A VAS aggregator sits between VAS providers and the mobile networks.
- Why does a company appear more than once?
- The register is one row per licence, not per company. A company holding, say, an ISP licence and a VAS licence appears twice, each with its own start and expiry dates.

- The NCC register of individual licensees, fetched from the Nigerian Communications Commission’s own site on 3 September 2026. Names and classes are printed as the register prints them, including the regulator’s own spellings. Nothing is added from memory or from third-party lists.
- Order
- Rows appear in the order the register lists them. Ranked does not rank regulated entities here, and no Ranked product appears in any register on this page.
- Links to Ranked listings
- Some names link to a Ranked listing. A link is made only when the register name, after dropping legal suffixes, matches exactly one listing in a category that fits this regulator, and a second signal agrees (the website domain, the CAC number, or a distinctive name of three or more words). One-word and two-word names with no second signal, and names that fit several listings, are left unlinked. The link connects two records of the same name; it is not a statement that the listed business holds the licence.
