When we first arrived they weren’t willing to help us find what we were looking for was more of me aimlessly looking for about 10-15 minutes before someone decided to pull out their phones show previous dresses that people have ordered from them.
After choosing around five dresses that I really would like to try on, they then mention that I will have to pay 1.5 K naira which I found ridiculous as any clothing store that you go to. You will be able to try on outfits for free as you need to know how it fits ones body.
I am not sure if this is standard or if this was just because of my accent either way, I found it off putting after being there for so long and no one mentioned it to u after I choose dresses.
They negotiated with us and said if we pay full out today, then we wouldn’t have to pay for the try ons lines. I let her know that wasn’t a problem, and we only tried on one dress that she showed us via online as it match my original description I gave them the day prior in the dms.
After we picking the one and only dress , I mentioned that I would need to
pay via an international POS system as I was assume that that would’ve been OK as this company has a large platform and figured that they were accommodating to people who are foreign.
Luckily, for me the owner of the store lives in America and we were able to work out payment so she mentioned that I will have to pay a little more because of the currency exchange. I let her know that wasn’t a problem and paid full out.
Prior to getting on the phone with the owner we had talked about delivery of the dress which the sales associates agreed to drop off my dress. I found that service to be very accommodating though they didn’t mention that it would cost more until after paying the extra money for the currency exchange to the owner. This was a problem as I have an International card and wouldn’t be able to pay in naira.
This was once again off putting and left everyone confused on how I will receive the dress. Eventually I ended up, paying to come back to the shop as we do in my country, which makes sense, but because they previously negotiated the delivery it confuse everybody.
Either way, I got the dress that I wanted it. It was lovely and I was able to return it that Monday morning I do believe that my score simply reflects the customer service and not so much paying more or less money.
It was about the experience and if it was worth the money that I paid I would say the dress was worth it, but the customer service wasn’t.
