Iso P.★★★★★ — An amazing outdoor experience in the heart of Lagos. Blend of history, culture, relaxation and awesome food.
Nice safe outdoor sport for famiky relaxation in Lagos Island.
I certainly recomend
Sadiq O.★★★★★ — Freedom Park is located in the serene neighbourhood of Cambell Street, Lagos Island. A beautifully designed recreation area adjacent to the Lionbuilding Police Station is available for individual or family picnics and other relaxing activities. Side attractions include skating, live music performance bands, snooker, an in-house DJ, table tennis, bars, restaurants, and a library. I love the taste of the Asun goat meat with freshly made tigernut from one of the food vendor. I Certainly want to pay a visit again.
The Winding Year Live Festival takes place from October to December.
Lineup for the month of October
Fringe Lagos
Felabration
Artist &talent hunt shoes
Meet and greet Wole Shoyinka.
Prisca C.★★★★★ — The activities are fun. My kids had a wonderful time but the place has poor management. It seemed they weren't prepared for the anticipated crowd.
We couldn't get most of what we paid for. Examples are
1. The parking space: I paid 5k for a standard parking but on getting there we were told the place was filled up and we had to look for where to park. A Lot of customers had same fate.
2. Locker: I paid but didn't get a locker. I was informed they had run out of space.
3. Food and drinks: This was the height of it. It was like a war zone. They were obviously understaffed and couldn't manage the crowd. We had to seriously struggle to get the chicken and chips (we had to make do with only chicken as they had run out on suya and lamb periperi that we initially ordered for on the app)
We left without getting the burgers and drinks we paid for after we were told to go to another section for it. This meant another struggle and we were already tired after over 1 hour of food struggle.
I was happy we engaged in some water activities before looking for food if not this experience would have spoilt the whole trip for us.
My recommendation to Mr Giwa
- Close the portal once daily maximum number of visitors is attained
- Get experienced individuals to supervise each section, you cannot be running from one side to the other. You need people with experience especially at the peak periods.
- Plan on refunds for services you fail to provide.
Thank you.
Temidayo I.★★★★★ — I had a great day today at Giwa garden. Giwa garden is the best in Nigeria. Ngl, I felt so much like baby. I’m definitely coming back. Yall need to be here. Come and experience lots of fun
Seun O.★★★★★ — Nice VIP section to chill away from children
Opedule E.★★★★★ — A large park with many activities. The children enjoyed themselves and didn’t want to leave. The price is affordable. The staffs were well behaved and seems nice.
At the discovery world section, we were told both parents weren’t allowed to enter. I wonder why? Even if it was just for few minutes.
I went on a weekday, so it wasn’t so crowded. Kudos to them
Lawal A.★★★★★ — A very fun place to be with different kinds of outdoor rides and indoor games. The game I enjoyed most was the Haunted house - kind of scary but full of fun.
The discouraging part I don't like is the fact that they don't allow you bring in drinks (including water) and foods meanwhile their drinks and food are not worth the price. It'll be better if the management can review the prices and quality of their food/drinks or relax the restrictions on food/drinks.
Abimbola A.★★★★★ — Our experience was a good one, so many indoor and outdoor games, we stayed in one of their studio apartments and it was well equipped and very functional. We had access to their pool area which was very relaxing after the sweaty outdoor games. I wish guests in the apartments/hotel could have complimentary access to the park and only pay for the games. The games duration was also short, especially the outdoor. Well the pricing is reasonable to be fair!
On Christmas day, all guests were hosted for a free breakfast which was very enjoyable and lifted the Christmas spirit.
The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. We enjoyed our stay and may come back next time.
Ajimati A.★★★★★ — A serene park in a safe space in Lagos. The atmosphere was cool. You have to show up with your own fun. There is a horse ride available, and different hut to be booked.
Samuel S.★★★★★ — One of two public parks at Alausa. Scenery with some paly area for children. Always a favorite with people especially during festive periods. Entrance fee is N1000 per person and one can come in with own food and drinks. You can also rent a mat to seat on the grass at a fee of N1000-N1500 per one. Not much parking area but one can still arrange to park at adjoining buildings.
Peter L.★★★★★ — The place is nice for having parties, hall for events and generally a nice outdoor place to unwind
Stella D.★★★★★ — As the name it's a resort so it has an open place for fish and all sort of meat, it also has a fast food place open to the public. Their services were poor as the front desk person I meet was not able to attend to me he had to be reminded to go get the manager who was also not professional, he was not sure what rooms were vacant and when he gave us the keys they did not open the room and we had to go check another one which eventually opened and was just able to place my head before I let about 5am the next day.
Monsurat O.★★★★★ — It's a big place, visited during the December holiday but they've got few outdoor games, no swimming place for kids. Few children indoor games. The games were not much as I expected and most games are N1500 and above. You need to get there early to avoid long queue especially during festive periods. No bottle water allowed, you can come with your food and sachet water.
SUSSANA M.★★★★★ — It was clean and serene. The place is nostalgic and gives the feel like you're in Amsterdam or the like.
We had fun and the roller coasters were fun as well.
It's a fun place for all ages
ABIMBOLA O.★★★★★ — It was a beautiful experience, I must say! I encourage families with children to go and have fun there. Patronage is key to sustaining our business.
Chizitere N.★★★★★ — I didn’t realize there was a place like Rufus and Bee on the mainland. The bowling alley was great, and they also had a variety of games to play, which made it even more fun. There’s also a dessert section where you can grab some treats.
A rose was given to every lady for Valentine’s Day, which was such a thoughtful gesture. 🌹
Overall, it was a really nice experience.
Schola O.★★★★★ — Other games experience for the kids were worthwhile except the swimming pool.
The tall black guy in charge of the pool area literally didn’t allow kids to move about. Kept shouting at everyone including the parents even when the kid is a good swimmer. He was supposed to be a diver but doesn’t want water to touch him, ironic!
Will advise you to pay for other games if you want a good experience. Going to the pool areas will ruin your experience if you visit it. The guy has a nasty attitude!
Oyekoya R.★★★★★ — Their customer service is badd
And their staffs are rude ,most especially the manager
