The food was excellent. I had a club sandwich, while others ordered jollof rice with chicken and pork, and everyone at the table complimented their meals. We were also given complimentary starters (bread with butter), which tasted great and was a nice touch.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and prompt — anything we needed was handled quickly. While waiting for our food, we noticed they had board games available, so we played Ludo and some card games, which made the wait enjoyable.
It also happened to be their salsa night, and the atmosphere was very lively. People were learning salsa, there were choreographies, and a dedicated dance area. Despite this, the space was well-arranged, with enough distance between diners and dancers, so it never felt crowded or uncomfortable.
Great food, great service, beautiful aesthetics, and a fun environment. I had a really good experience and would definitely recommend Pit Stop Lagos.

The waitress was nice but not very knowledgeable about the menu. I'm giving a low rating here because at the end of our date, believe it or not ladies and gentlemen, a RAT ran past the "platform" on the wall where our booth was. Take note, a rat, not a mouse. I mean those big ones you find outside... It was funny and absolutely ridiculous!! I had a good laugh cos I've never experienced such in my life. I left my friend there and she stayed back to order takeaway. She said she couldn't place her order as the rat came back and was running around the place. She complained to the staff. Because of the time of day, the place was empty.. The staff were nonchalant and told her their pizza machine had just gotten spoilt and they couldn't take her order. It felt like a "just come and be going with your wahala" situation.
At least we have a funny story to tell about that day. . Just ridiculous!!!

Unfortunately, after 30mins of waiting after placing our order, the kitchen calls him to inform him that there was an emergency which had to do with no gas to cook. Asking that we wait for upwards of an extra 35mins to figure out how to resolve this. Even appetiser wasn't available.
We had to leave without eating. I still hold that the professionalism of the waiter was noteworthy. However the kitchen staff behaviour and slip-up in planning messed the entire experience up.
Prices look fair (I was looking forward to lambchops and mashed potato(recommended by waiter)) ambience was good.

The only the u wasn't so comfortable with was the wait time to get attended to or having to scout around to look for the person attending to your table. If possible, the owners can get a table bell or indicator so guest can use the botton to notify the servers. Overall, it was a good experience and affordable prices.

The food itself was okay. The ewagoyin was filling and did the job for a morning meal, while the kpomo was reasonably prepared and complemented the beans well. It wasn’t outstanding or particularly memorable, but it was decent enough if you’re just looking for a quick local breakfast without too many expectations. Portion-wise, it felt fair for what was served.
What stood out more than the food was the service style. Since it was early in the day, I expected a bit more warmth or friendliness from the servers, especially that morning energy you sometimes get at bukas where greetings and small interactions make the experience more pleasant. Instead, the service felt strictly business-like. Orders were taken, food was served, and people ate and left. No unnecessary delays, but also no extra engagement.
Overall, Commint Buka feels like a place people visit purely for convenience. If you’re in a hurry, want to eat quickly, and move on with your day, it works just fine. However, if you’re looking for a more relaxed or welcoming breakfast experience, this might not fully meet that expectation. It’s practical, efficient, and functional—nothing more, nothing less.
