Miracle A.★★★★★ — Maison Kayser definitely has ambience and service going for them. The waiters I met on both visits were super nice and very willing to offer recommendations and help me get comfortable.
The full English breakfast was unbelievably bland, but that’s probably on me for not specifying, considering that they have a significant number of Caucasian customers.
I absolutely loved the croissants and afogatto I tried on my second visit. Great variety of ice-cream too. I had a nice cup.
My companion got the French toast with lemon turkey, which was decent as well.
Unfortunately, they packed the wrong pastry for my takeout, so the soggy apple tart I got was nauseating.
If I’ll be back, it’ll be for the location, service, and pastries.

Kofon E.★★★★★ — Go here very hungry to maximize your spend lol. Their portions are great, tastes really good and the environment makes up for the cash spent. Budget 20k minimum per person and it’s money well spent because I was impressed.

Zingy Z.★★★★★ — Another good spot for food on the island. Great options with seafood, lamb, Australian cuts and pasta but pls dont try the creamy mushrom pasta. Its rubbish. We asked the chef to re-check but he did not seem to care.

Modupe A.★★★★★ — I recently visited this restaurant and had an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the food turned out to be just as impressive—flavorful, well-prepared, and simply enjoyable.
What truly made the visit exceptional, though, was the service. Our waitress, Blessing (Favour) Linus, was outstanding. She carried herself with genuine professionalism and an easy, beautiful smile that made the whole experience even more pleasant. She checked in at the right moments, cleared the table thoughtfully, and made sure we were comfortable without ever feeling rushed. It’s clear she takes pride in her work, and it showed in every interaction.
Service like hers is the kind that makes you look forward to returning. Combine that with great food and a lovely ambience, and it’s safe to say I’ll definitely be back.
suoemi K.★★★★★ — This is the second time I’ve been here in a litter over a year. It takes too long for the food to come out, even simple appetizers. Both times I’ve been here the waiter has returned like 20 minutes la
Danuta M.★★★★★ — Well let's just face it, it wasn't fine dining..price was, food was sub standard. Out of a party of 7 people, 4 were either not happy or just disappointed. Service took to long, over 1 hrs and when the food came it was either sloppy over cooked or just rushed. I had high hopes for the place, due to its fabulous menu, but the atmosphere there was also a little dead, with more staff hanging about than guests. Also there was no lift, lots of stairs and we had an elderly guest with us with mobility issues. A sad affair to be honest. Lower your prices, or change your chef please!

S.O.U.L A.★★★★★ — I had brunch with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon. It was nice and quiet and honestly, the food was good. We had pizza and wings....not bad at all. The waitress was nice but not very knowledgeable about the menu. I'm giving a low rating here because at the end of our date, believe it or not ladies and gentlemen, a RAT ran past the "platform" on the wall where our booth was. Take note, a rat, not a mouse. I mean those big ones you find outside... It was funny and absolutely ridiculous!! I had a good laugh cos I've never experienced such in my life. I left my friend there and she stayed back to order takeaway. She said she couldn't place her order as the rat came back and was running around the place. She complained to the staff. Because of the time of day, the place was empty.. The staff were nonchalant and told her their pizza machine had just gotten spoilt and they couldn't take her order. It felt like a "just come and be going with your wahala" situation.
At least we have a funny story to tell about that day. . Just ridiculous!!!
Emmanuel B.★★★★★ — First time guest. Frankly the gentleman waiter(forgot his name) was quite exceptional and very helpful.
Unfortunately, after 30mins of waiting after placing our order, the kitchen calls him to inform him that there was an emergency which had to do with no gas to cook. Asking that we wait for upwards of an extra 35mins to figure out how to resolve this. Even appetiser wasn't available.
We had to leave without eating. I still hold that the professionalism of the waiter was noteworthy. However the kitchen staff behaviour and slip-up in planning messed the entire experience up.
Prices look fair (I was looking forward to lambchops and mashed potato(recommended by waiter)) ambience was good.
Won't most likely be returning.
Grace C.★★★★★ — Their meal 10/10
The service here was really welcoming
The chefs are really talented
This is my 5th time here I just had to drop a review
Manzo N.★★★★★ — La Taverna felt like an Italian downtown restaurant. It's a beautiful space with good food. The only the u wasn't so comfortable with was the wait time to get attended to or having to scout around to look for the person attending to your table. If possible, the owners can get a table bell or indicator so guest can use the botton to notify the servers. Overall, it was a good experience and affordable prices.
Kayode A.★★★★★ — I visited La Taverna recently and had an overall above-average experience. The food was definitely the highlight—everything we ordered was very tasty and well-presented. The flavors are authentic and hit the right spot.
The ambience is okay—pleasant enough for a casual dinner. However, the service could definitely be improved. Despite the restaurant not being busy when we arrived, we waited quite a while to be attended to. Even throughout the meal, getting service wasn't very prompt.
Great spot if you aren't in a hurry and want a delicious meal, but I hope they can sharpen up their response times!
tsboi★★★★★ — Lagoon Restaurant has a beautiful waterfront ambiance that immediately stands out and creates a relaxing dining experience. The setting is perfect for a calm outing or a special meal by the water. While the fish was fresh, it lacked enough spice to truly stand out. However, the crab sauce was absolutely world-class—rich, flavorful, and perfectly paired with rice and small chops. Overall, the ambiance and standout sauces make it worth a visit, with room for improvement on the fish seasoning.

Aanu A.★★★★★ — I heard this place was known for having some of the best amala in Lagos, so I decided to try it. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment and easily one of the worst I’ve had in a long time.
The food was tasteless, heavy on palm oil, and it honestly made me feel unwell afterward. Ibile used to be much better than this, so this experience was surprising.
Oluwapelumi O.★★★★★ — The food was soo good but expensive,we had a great time
Olayode B.★★★★★ — The entire service was good, from the entrance to ushering to your seat, the management was quick to respond to your needs
But honestly I wish they had a table button incase i need to call the waiters for something, it was a struggle trying to reach them
The atmosphere was good, and nice music playlist.
The milkshake I had was a 6/10 it was not rich in chocolate compared to others I've had
The spicy shrimp spaghetti was not spicy at all, and the shrimp was stale. And I made the order because of the shrimp
Hope they work on the food
Overall service wasn't bad at all
Oh yeah, I remembered my chair was shaking and immediately I complained they brought a replacement.
Akporode E.★★★★★ — It my third or more times I have visited here.
Same time, It was dining for two, same dish for both I usually ordered but slightly different portions was served, however the upside is that the quality and taste is still been maintained.
Am rating the atmosphere low this time only because the place was warm as the air conditioners were on working well 😔 and has to be supported by a fan as I remembered that place was recently renovated not long ago.
Isabella O.★★★★★ — The space was filled at the main restaurant and had to move us to their lounge; Prive which I wasn't too sad about. The food came late and I was a little frustrated.
Ordered the Cajun Seared Barracuda and it was perfectly done, toasty on the outside and soft on the inside. I did not find a single bone in the fish, which was impressive. Absolutely delicious. 9/10
I initially wanted mashed potatoes as my side, but since it was not available, I opted for jollof rice and honestly I am glad I did. This was hands down the best basmati jollof I have ever had. Smoky, firewood flavoured, not overly peppery and incredibly tasty. 11/10
My sister had the Ofada, which was delicious and generously loaded with proteins. However, it would have been even better with Ayamase sauce. 7/10
Our waiter David was very understanding and offered excellent service, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
For drinks, the mojito was a standout. The lemon and mint hit perfectly. It was refreshing, balanced and very well made. 10/10
The strawberry daiquiri was nice but nothing particularly special. 7/10
Dessert was the chocolate mocha cake. The cake itself was warm, soft and delicious, and the chocolate syrup was really good. Unfortunately, the ice cream had melted by the time it arrived and was more foam than ice cream, which took away from the experience. 6/10
The yam fries were toast outside and soft inside. The tomato sauce was delicious 7/10
Cannot end the review without talking about the dj at the Prive lounge! He was so good and made us dance in our seats.
Overall, I will definitely be coming back, mainly for that jollof and the mojito alone. They should hold their chef well! They are doing a good job.
Rachael A.★★★★★ — Food was 10/10 and the atmosphere is amazing. Love the free fries we got. The mocktail was so amazing. I went for a second and the jollof!!!! Standing ovation pls. Food is expensive though
Sahndrra★★★★★ — Food was yummy, good quantity for price with ample protein as well.
Service was quite poor, staff seemed overwhelmed and there were a lot of people.
Sitting/atmosphere was decent, there were however flies biting and wasn’t enough space to accommodate everyone. The concept is however nice.
onasanya D.★★★★★ — Nice African setup bar with a good live band. A la carte meals all in a traditional style. Nice place in all.
OSÁ★★★★★ — I visited with a group of five and, after being seated, we weren’t attended to for over 45 minutes. We weren’t offered water, and despite asking to be served, it took some time before another waitress finally took our order. The food then took about an hour and a half to arrive, and some of it was lukewarm, though it did taste good.
While the restaurant is beautifully designed, the experience shouldn’t stop at the food alone. Given that it was the festive season, the few staff on duty seemed overwhelmed, and several guests came and left due to long wait times. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t worth what we paid. I hope NOK improves and invests more in service, as it has a lot of potential.

Goodness O.★★★★★ — This is my second order, I didn’t get the time to give review on the last order.
This sharwama is the best I’ve had in a long while.
