    Recent reviews

    • Tausin A. ★★★★ : The Marina is supposed a sort of tourist destination which tells the rich history of Calabar and the slave trade, however upon my 2 visits to the location, I was sorely disappointed. They’re lacking in customer service and proper management, in my opinion. In my first encounter, I went in the daytime with friends and most of the facilities weren’t open by noon and the staff weren’t particularly helpful or welcoming. My second time around, I went in the evening and in the middle of my dining experience, a staff member approached me and asked that I stand up from my seat and use another chair as they were packing up those plastic seats.
    • Raphael C. ★★★★ : Great and amazing. Off course I visited there a couple of days for a picnic outing

If, like me, you're wary of picking up bedbugs from hotels and this is one of your considerations when choosing where to stay, then the Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar is an excellent option. The bedding was clean and fresh, the mattress seam, bed frame, headboard and furniture, clean and free from bugs. Yes, I took my time to check🙈 The hotel has visible security and constant electricity. The bathrooms are clean and fresh towels are provided, for guests who use them. I highly recommend the Metropolitan❤️
