Aiyedun V.★★★★★ — I was at the Makurdi office to do biometric capturing for renewal of my expired passport December 2023 when i met with some corrupt officers who were demanding several amount of money before i will be allowed to capture. i got frustrated and i called Abuja customer care who then said the process is free since ive made relevant payment online. i was asked to contact one department (SERVICOM maybe but can't remember the name now) and ask to see officers there (i believe they act like icpc but they are still NIS staff).
when i asked several officers they said their office is empty that there was no one on duty. there i began to suspect that they dont want me to meet anyone from that department.
so i went online and searched for Makurdi customer care number and contacted one officer Nathaniel who answered the phone. i explained what happened to him and how i contacted Abuja.
he apologized for all the troubles and asked me to ask for one Officer OBUTU JOHN. This officer JOHN OBUTU was my savior. immediately he swung into action and my biometrics was done seamlessly.
if you want to capture in Makurdi office please look for officer Nathanial and most importantly Officer JOHN OBUTU.
may God bless these two officers as well as every good officers in the service.
i want to urge the ICPC, EFCC and other agencies to monitor closely the activities of some of the officer because they are frustrating Nigerians even more than what the economy is doing. Thank you
