    • Saanmoyol G. ★★★★★ : It is a great place for an evening outing for couples, single or group. A little expensive, budget at least 15k for single outing. Food is really great, the star on the shawarma is there for a reason, it's second to none
    • Rachel S. ★★★★★ : Shawarma was not nice. The chicken and beef were fried and hard. The experience was not a good one. My jaw ached after chewing due to the hardness.

    • Raymond T. ★★★★★ : This is my favourite place to sit and work on my computer. There is light 24/7, and I mean it literally. They also work 24/7. The food is great, the service is good and there is always light. These are some pictures of me in the lounge section. You can always visit it when you are in Makurdi.
    • Ajayi O. ★★★★★ : They have a very annoying customer service experience. I was there for dinner 29 Mar 2026 between 9:30pm-10:30pm and made some orders. The turkey and ponmo both had funny smell after heating, however, I proceeded to eat with assumption that it was good. On sitting down to eat, I tasted it immediately and without doubt it was terrible. I complained to the attendants there but was told to relay to the manager, which I requested to see. The manager didn’t show up until I made an issue out of it all some 45mins later. The attitude of both the manager and her assistant were both irritating to a service providing business. Wish you all the best in your future endeavors if you continue as such.

Their attitude towards work or rendering services to a customer are discouraging, they are mean, rude and nonchalant.

    • Victor T. ★★★★★ : A great establishment in Makurdi, the staffs are super friendly and kind a reflection of the Tiv people. The food is excellent especially the Pizza from Pizza jungle. The manager is too serious though. Had a bit of an interaction with him and he was not welcoming like a modern manager would be. That took nothing away from the excellent team of staffs he have.

    • Hafeeza B. ★★★★★ : Dirty. Do you know how filthy a room has to be for me to able to see it through neon lights and alcohol. I was terribly uncomfortable and even when the cleaner was called over, he literally started arguing with his own manager in front of us. Good luck to the owner of this place fr.
    • Ajayi O. ★★★★★ : Nice ambience, newly opened place. A lot of flies were observed when I visited during the day time. I ordered chicken shawarma, chicken stirred fried pasta and coconana milkshake. The shawarma had extra dry flat bread which kept breaking with each munch, the pasta was too oily and can be worked on. The coconana milkshake tho, was cool.

This place used to be somewhere you could actually sit and get work done but now it is completely impractical for anyone who needs to use a laptop or stay longer than a quick meal. It feels like customers who work or study here are no longer welcome. Disappointing, frustrating and honestly a step backwards for the café

How to choose safely

What to check before choosing restaurants in Makurdi

Rankings are a starting point. For this category, these are the checks that most often separate a useful recommendation from a risky one.

  • Check recency

Restaurants change fast. Recent reviews and photos matter more than old popularity signals.

  • Match the occasion

Confirm ambience, parking, reservation rules, family-friendliness, and menu availability before going.

  • Watch consistency

Repeated comments about service speed, cleanliness, portions, and pricing are more useful than one viral review.
