Belinda O.★★★★★ — not the best of stays for a new hotel. the staff need more training on how to answer visitors inquiries. the breakfast buffet is poor at best. it starts at 7AM and ends at 9AM which is weird and seems intentional. it has very limited variety. there is usually only I pan of protein. if the protein finishes such as chicken or fish, you won't have anything to eat with your food.you have to rush and get there early so you dont miss the protein. the food is cold , there is nothing heating up the food. the worst part of it is, there is NO bottled water . the staff take the same cup you use and go to the dispenser to get water. I have never seen this done before any where else. not only is it not hygienic to put the same glass cup from different people at the same dispenser but with the price paid for the hotel accommodation this is unacceptable. During our stay the tv did not work.the internet does not work on the television except our mobile phones, so you can't watch Netflix or YouTube on the television which is basic to have a comfortable stay. we had to share hotspot from our mobile device networks to be able to watch the tv. the staff's attempt at trying to fix this was a lost cause. the hot water in the bathroom does not last for long. in the middle of my shower it went cold multiple times. The only positive I can say about this hotel is the aesthetics and the ac's are working properly. it has the potential to be a great hotel but it needs to fix a lot of things to achieve this as my experience over here was unsatisfactory.

I was sweating in the bus due to bad ac on both journeys.
Both drivers were rude.
To bus spoilt in Benin and we were stranded for hours and the driver never explained what happened or offered an apology.
From bus back to lagos, gear 1 was faulty, ac blew like a pocket handfan, driver was rude as well.
Gigm used to be known for standard services, I don't think I can boldly say that anymore.
You guys need to do better.

The bush-bar offers cool relaxation and delicious local delicacies: nkwobi, isi-ewu, pepper soups, peppered meats, palm wine, etc. The restaurant offers both local and continental dishes. It's a lovely place to be and feel at home.
