We had grilled cat fish with yam and Arab tea. Plus many ice cold Guinness bottles. The drinks were the coldest in town. Incredible. Ample car parking when we went but since there are other restraints within the compound could get hard to park on busier days. We went on a Tuesday evening. It is just a bit less classy than where the restaurant was located in Lifecamp.

Located just off Ahmadu Bello Way, next to the imposing ANAN House (a stone throw from Next Cash & Carry in Kado). The place is classy & clean. It also has it's own fenced in, interlocked parking space & a clean convenience with running water. There're usually varieties of delicacies with enticing proteins available & on display. However, the speciality here has been & remains amala with ewedu and gbegiri. The pounded yam (with efo riro, egusi, okro) & varieties of rice, yam porridge etc are equally tasty. They also sell fresh agidi with sauce, traditionally wrapped with green leaves. Rush hour patronage is testimony to the delicious food served here. Apart from diners, u will also contend with drivers & aides on the queue with coolers to purchase takeaway for their bosses. It's a perfect location for a family lunch outing on a budget. The food is not only delicious but also reasonable priced & affordable, though depending on what's on ur menu. Always a good dining experience

I went there thinking I’d just try the amala, but I ended up ordering rice and beans too. Omo… everything slapped! 🔥 The amala was soft and smooth, the soup was rich, the meat was properly seasoned, and that rice and beans tasted like the kind of food that reminds you of home. No shortcuts, just solid Nigerian food. For me, this place is easily on the same level as the top amala spots in Abuja…but the prices are even friendlier. That’s the part that shocked me the most.

The only place I had something similar was in Lagos. I would highly recommend. When you go outside the restaurant there are other places to have bits like peppersoup, suya, etc. they are separate businesses but you get a variety. The smoothie spot is my favourite as the lady who sells smoothies is really polite. Check her out as well. Love her smoothies!
