The place itself is beautiful and their rice still seems the same but over the span of just 2 years, their shawarma has literally gone from great to terrible. The Item7go in Lagos State is new and doing great right now. Infact for me, i think they make the best shawarma in Lagos as of today. First of all, I ordered 2 milkshake drinks. 1 in store and 1 as a take away. Mind you each drink was Naira 10,000. The first strawberry milkshake i was served in store was okay. It was overly sweet and it had a slightly weird taste but it wasn't too bad overall. The second chocolate milkshake came in a much much smaller sizing than the one in store. Like im confused did I not order the same type of drink?
Secondly, the restaurant is so hot. The fans are barely working and the A/c was switched off even when there was light. The entire atmosphere was just so un-appealing The most annoying part of this whole experience was the obnoxiously loud music playing in the background. We could barely hear each other talking. We asked for the music to be turned down, which they did at first, but some minutes later, it was turned back up again. This was such a poor experience with this restaurant. Nothing could ever make me come back here. You guys really need to learn to do better!!

Everything we tried off the menu was surprisingly good, better than anything I would have expected [had I gone with expectations] and given the general state of the place. Save for that horrendous pink sauce which NEEDS TO GO in my opinion, but since there’s no accounting for taste, management should consider making it optional, because it single-handedly almost ruined everything it touched!
The staff were also warm and humorous. That’s everything positive I have to say about this place.
Ambience was not the vibe. The space is small, bordering on cramped, as such it can very easily and very quickly become rowdy. On top of that, the intense noise from street traffic and the overly loud music blaring from the speakers are a great way to get a headache / migraine depending on the person.
Also, constantly getting harassed by flies while eating is a major turn off. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put the grilling station right by the entrance didn’t think it through.
I didn’t notice a bathroom on-site either, and if there was one I doubt I would have braved seeing the inside of it.
Final thoughts, with hygiene and wait time improvements, I could consider getting the food again, maybe even recommend it to people, but I would neither dine-in again nor recommend dining in.
