Looks beautiful and coordinated from the outside, but trust me, this is one hell of a place to stay, from the branch manager (Lady) to the front desk staffs and also the F&B staffs are all untrained and unprofessional, very disappointing customer service, slow and a nonchalant response to customer’s needs and complaints. An untrained manager who is filled with pride and ego but does not have the courage to face or attend to a guest except through her subordinates, A branch manager who Sits in the office while both staffs of the front desk and restaurant indulge in fraudulent and unprofessional practices right under her nose…. A hotel as big as this that can’t even keep accurate records of their guests , rooms and restaurant dockets, a hotel that takes months and so much stress to refund an overpayment due to the carelessness and nonchalant attitude of their employees…. A hotel that does not take responsibility of their employees and their silly mistakes. SUN HEAVEN UMUAHIA is just a scam and we sincerely regret our stay with them … it actually took them over 40days to send back a refund of overpayment made to their POS account which they denied at first, they also denied that room 312 was vacant of the exact day it was occupied by a guest, also could not find a record of payment made in the restaurant for breakfast both on their system and also in the POS we paid with . All these was a calculated attempt to scam us and hold unto our refund of 350k naira …. I will not advise anyone to lodge there not even an enemy …. Till date , there have been no proper or official apology from either the management or staffs of the establishment.

Belinda O.★★★★★ — not the best of stays for a new hotel. the staff need more training on how to answer visitors inquiries. the breakfast buffet is poor at best. it starts at 7AM and ends at 9AM which is weird and seems intentional. it has very limited variety. there is usually only I pan of protein. if the protein finishes such as chicken or fish, you won't have anything to eat with your food.you have to rush and get there early so you dont miss the protein. the food is cold , there is nothing heating up the food. the worst part of it is, there is NO bottled water . the staff take the same cup you use and go to the dispenser to get water. I have never seen this done before any where else. not only is it not hygienic to put the same glass cup from different people at the same dispenser but with the price paid for the hotel accommodation this is unacceptable. During our stay the tv did not work.the internet does not work on the television except our mobile phones, so you can't watch Netflix or YouTube on the television which is basic to have a comfortable stay. we had to share hotspot from our mobile device networks to be able to watch the tv. the staff's attempt at trying to fix this was a lost cause. the hot water in the bathroom does not last for long. in the middle of my shower it went cold multiple times. The only positive I can say about this hotel is the aesthetics and the ac's are working properly. it has the potential to be a great hotel but it needs to fix a lot of things to achieve this as my experience over here was unsatisfactory.
