I had the poorest experience today for lunch at Amala 360. requested for Amala, and she conclusively decided she would give me ewedu and gbegiri without even asking me🫢. Furthermore as if that was not insulting enough she finished serving and put the whole food (Amala, ewedu & gbegiri) inside the microwave. Who does that?, telling me that it's cold....,very disappointed 😞 The plate they used in serving me the food was too small in comparison to the portion I ordered so the food was spilling out. From the look of things I now see reasons why the restaurant was very empty....because I am probably not the first who must have experienced this... I hope the management do take note and make changes or it will be another sad story of another restaurant with a potential that couldn't keep up with expectations.

Whether you are looking for a quick lunch or a late-night fix, there are no shortage of locations to be considered. The Amala Hot  establishment in Sabon Lugbe area of Abuja is one of such. The original Amala Hot is located inside the sprawling Trademore Estate, while they recently opened a branch in nearby VON City Rd, which is the subject of this review. Located on the quiet, well tarred (interlocked) VON City Rd, this amala joint looks & plays the part. The simply constructed, but well designed & decorated hall is a beauty to behold. Pictures, art works, sculptures & paintings line up the walls & corners. It offers amala served with ewede or 'Abula' & spicy stew. One can choose to have just ewedu & stew with ur amala or swallow, without gbegiri. Also, just like the trend in other amala outlets, other swallows, soups & varieties of rice, beans etc are equally available. Coming to proteins, a wide variety is always available, including assorted cow meat, goat meat, fish, & ponmo (cow hide). This establishment is affordable & not as expensive as those in the Central Business District & environs. I think that this predominantly because it's in a residential neighborhood & not a commercial area. Therefore, traffic is quite low. The food is tasty, served hot & the environment is clean & well decorated. A quiet area to dine. The few staff here are friendly, considerate & courteous. I got value for my money & commend the team here !

My whole appetite was ruined. The service is just toooooo poor. Y’all should do better.

My entire experiences still feel like a nightmare, They are terrible in every aspect, the staff were young and unprofessional, food was so underwhelming. I couldn't believe a restaurant of this kind of caliber will serve customers a spoiled soup. 1, No electricity or any means of light. 2, The food is bad; the egusi soup only looks great, and the taste is so terrible, I was seriously hungry, but I prefer to starve than to eat their poisonous food. 3, The only value for money was the fish, which tasted great and was well smoked. 4, Due to lack of electricity, there is no way to micro-wave my food, I had to wait another 30 mins before the generator could get repaired, and No one informed me until I had paid. 5, the meals took too long to arrive, At some point, I thought they forget about me, More than 30 mins. My Time was wasted, I was served trashy food. Even if they are offering free food, please do not eat here. Solutions......... 1, They need a manager; You can't just gather bunch of young people without experience and expect them to deliver top-notch service. 2 They need to change their chef and hire someone who really knows how to prepare good Nigeria meals,3, They need to re-train their staff, they are so mid and incompetent. I demanded a full refund of my money after the poor experience, but I was only given back just 60% refund, I deserve compensation for serving me food that can kill me, 60% refund is just not enough, I would never in my life patronize them again, I can't even recommend this place to an enemy.

They however need to get a permanent solution to the power supply. Sometimes they don't put on the generator set and you are eating and sweating. They should figure out how to always have change available to customers who can't pay with card.
