Enemuo C.★★★★★ — The hospital’s payment system is inefficient and frequently disrupted by network issues. These delays often affect timely access to essential supplies such as medications and oxygen, which is concerning for patient care.
The Emergency Unit appears to require payment confirmation before attending to patients, and given the slow and frustrating payment process, this can significantly delay urgent medical intervention.
Many hospital facilities and equipment are in poor condition. A considerable number of hospital beds are damaged, with an estimated average of only about 15% being fully functional per ward. This severely impacts patient comfort and capacity.
Critical diagnostic results, including CT scans, radiographic imaging, and MRI reports, are often delayed, which can hinder prompt emergency response and treatment decisions.
There is also a noticeable shortage of pharmaceutical supplies across wards, including basic necessities such as detergents and tissues. The general environment in several wards appears dusty and poorly maintained, giving an impression of neglect.
On a positive note, the doctors and nurses are calm, professional, and dedicated in their interactions with patients. However, there seems to be a lack of coordination and synchronization among the healthcare teams.
Overall, the hospital reflects significant systemic challenges that require urgent attention and improvement.
Okoh M.★★★★★ — This hospital have a very poor customer service, their support can't reply respectfully, no means of contact, their support insulted me because I asked him or her about the hospital.
ekene B.★★★★★ — Among the best ,went for an eye check up , the doctor was super nice, and the environment was very clean.
Chime C.★★★★★ — Please look into the pharmacy section. The personnel there seem to have lost sight of the primary reason people come to the hospital. Instead of attending promptly to patients, they spend more time chatting among themselves than focusing on their duties. Kindly address this issue to ensure better service delivery.
Sebastian E.★★★★★ — I visit the hospital fairly regularly and I'm always imprest by the cheerful and helpful disposition of the workers, especially the nurses at the OPD. This is significant considering the amount of pressure that the job entails. Kudos!!
SOMTOCHUKWU M.★★★★★ — Terrible pharmacy staff. Instead of attending to their patients, they prefer to gist for the entire day. Very slow and sluggish. Lazy mammals!!
Vincent E.★★★★★ — As a medical practitioner specialising in diabetes care, I feel compelled to share this very concerning experience regarding Memfys Hospital, Enugu, and particularly Dr. Mba. Our experience was extremely disappointing and deeply concerning.
Despite assurances that the hospital runs a dedicated diabetes clinic with competent care, my mother was placed under the management of Dr. Mba, a doctor who has developed a very troubling reputation. Not only is he consistently reported by other patients to be rude, frustrated, and unprofessional, but my direct experience confirms this: he lacks basic courtesy, speaks with anger, and shows little respect for patients or their families.
What is even more alarming is his serious disregard for standard medical practice. Dr. Mba insists that it is acceptable to perform HbA1C and fasting blood glucose tests on patients even after they have eaten heavy meals. This is completely wrong and misleading. For a physician to advise patients in this manner shows either a shocking lack of knowledge or a disregard for proper medical standards. Either case is unacceptable in diabetes management.
For clarity:
• HbA1C reflects long-term blood sugar control and does not require fasting, but timing and proper patient counselling are critical.
• Fasting blood glucose, by definition, must be performed after at least 8 hours of fasting. Conducting it after a patient has eaten invalidates the result and misguides treatment.
By insisting otherwise, Dr. Mba risks mismanaging patients, delaying correct treatment, and endangering lives. For a hospital of this size and reputation, it is unacceptable that such misinformation and malpractice are tolerated.
I paid millions for my mother’s care here, yet she was exposed to dangerous negligence. I strongly urge the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and relevant authorities to investigate whether Dr. Mba is truly qualified to practice medicine. Until this matter is addressed, patients with diabetes should be very cautious about trusting their care to this hospital under his supervision.
As someone with expertise in diabetes treatment, I strongly advise Memfys Hospital to reconsider who they allow to treat vulnerable patients. Families entrust their loved ones to hospitals in hope of competent and compassionate care—not to encounter unprofessionalism, misinformation, and disrespect.
Until serious steps are taken, I cannot recommend this hospital, and I urge anyone seeking diabetes care to proceed with extreme caution.
Kessie S.★★★★★ — Very terrible hospital, the CT head scan we did 4 days ago isn’t out yet, how do they want the patient to improve when they are sooo reluctant, I am sure if you tip or pay extra your result will be out faster.
Bottom line if you don’t have money please don’t go there, they are all about money and not lives.
Okoh M.★★★★★ — This hospital have a very poor customer service, their support can't reply respectfully, no means of contact, their support insulted me because I asked him or her about the hospital.
Nwobodo K.★★★★★ — Great doctors for surgery but very unprofessional nurses and inefficient systems of operation
