I came in dejected, not friendly, always frowning my face, i didn't think there was anything in life that was worth living for. I didn't love myself not to talk of loving another, i hated me, the mirror became one of my enemies, i stopped looking at the mirror, and each time i did, i became irritated at the person am seeing there. Sometimes i hurt myself with sharp objects, hit my head on the wall, punch hard on the wall, just to hurt myself, but what ignorance did to me was to make me think things where gonna change through me isolating and hurting myself, [ignorance really is a disease💯]. But story short, i decided to come back from Lagos to owerri and my cousin sister who happens to worship at house on the Rock owerri brought me to church, i was Amazed at the neatness and crowd but i wasn't moved.
The only thing I enjoyed that day was the Choir, what!!!!! They where amazing. Me wey like singing and dance like that's the only thing giving my life and keeping me alive. During the sermon, the pastor preached in a different tone than the one i was raised with. Coming from an Anglican home, having an Anglican clergy dad, and being raised by another Anglican clergy man for 7 good years made me look at the pastor like he was talking trash, though i picked some words he said that day and jotted them down, but i 💯didn't agree with him. After that day i didn't want to attend again, i told my sister that i will be looking for any Anglican church around, and she was like didn't i like her church?, i smiled and told her that i liked it though i knew i was lying. So because i was living with her i had no choice than to continue going. After attending two more service i decided to open my heart and belong here, because the people there where super friendly, i think that was what made me stay before the word of truth that was been preached there by God's servant pastor Obi Chinedu. Before you know i started smiling and laughing even when i try not to, i started associating with people.
Since then till now my life has never been the same, i now now the truth about myself and about God. I no longer play religion which had held me down for many years, i now play the Kingdom, which has reshaped my life. I have no regret joining this family Hotr Owerri, my life has really changed. Thank you pastor Obi, you've really changed my life with the real word of truth you preach.
From the depth of my heart i say thank you sir. Your generosity I will never take for granted.
Now i have a reason to be alive, just having to know that i am loved, by God and by people, and also having to know that i am an Ambassador of Christ here on earth is worth living for.
