A hidden gem in Lagos. Jaekel House is where history meets calm. Vintage railway stories inside, lush gardens outside. A perfect little time capsule in the middle of the city.

This is such an important place. It holds so much history of Nigeria. If you're a lover of history, it is a place you must visit. Come and enjoy.

The same place as the Jaekal museum: it’s a nice place with a good atmosphere. It is small though. Good explanation on the board. There is also an upper floor but all the materials are quite outdated. Good to spend 1 hour here. There was no admission fee when I went.

Restored by Legacy 95, a charity organisation the museum is to be treasured, unfortunately it seems guests are few and far between. Perhaps because it's relatively unknown. The caretaker is very keen to pass on his knowledge about the building and Nigeria's railway past.
