Deji★★★★★ — Been hearing about this place for a while and decided to try it out a few days ago. The food isn’t bad but it took about an hour for us to get it.
Milkshake was a bit too watery. Plantain and chips were superb. The fish was good-ish, it was easy to notice that it wasn’t fresh though.
Someone was having a birthday there and the noise was unbearable. I feel it would have made more sense if they booked the full restaurant for a few hours rather than mixing with other diners.

Feranmi O.★★★★★ — Food is great but customer service is ridiculous. Most of those women selling the food hate their jobs. Sad, awful, frustrated and bitter women. Nearly all the people I have introduced have had something negative to say not about the food but the customer service. If the owner is interested in long term relevance, s/he should review the workforce. They do the job carelessly because it’s not their own. It doesn’t take a hundred displeased customers for an organization to go out of business. It only takes one. Took time to type this out because the product is great and I want the best for y’all.
Morenike O.★★★★★ — If you know, you know.
I genuinely love the food at Iya Meta Food Canteen in Bodija Market. The highlight for me is their signature rice and stew — it’s absolutely the bomb. Rich, flavorful, and properly cooked the way local food should taste.
Now, let me be honest — the environment could be cleaner. It’s a typical busy market setting, and cleanliness isn’t exactly top-tier. But the taste? It keeps pulling me back.
If you’re in Bodija Market and you care more about authentic, delicious Nigerian food than fancy ambience, this spot is worth trying. I’ll definitely be going back.
Stephen A.★★★★★ — Was a beautiful place to be, and I will be thrilled to visit again with my friends.
Maryam A.★★★★★ — I went to Kokari Café for a brunch date with my friends and it was such a lovely experience. The café has a really nice ambience – calm, cozy, and perfect for hanging out. We loved that they had games
James J.★★★★★ — Absolutely delicious and comforting! Countryside Peppersoup bursts with authentic flavors that warm the soul. Perfectly spiced and made with quality ingredients definitely my go-to for a tasty, homemade pepper soup experience.
Patience A.★★★★★ — They make extra speacial peppersoup... and its shockingly affordable... my whole family loved it. and their delivery time is always spot on...
Kosisochukwu★★★★★ — Omooo 🔥 this pepper soup is on another level! Spicy, delicious and so comforting. If you haven’t tried it, you’re seriously missing out ☺️☺️
Faith B.★★★★★ — really enjoyed your pepper soup! The taste was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. You balanced the ingredients so well, and it was just the right level of peppery kick. Honestly, one of the best I’ve had — I can’t wait to eat it again!
Adekemi A.★★★★★ — I took my guests there for hangout. The service delivery was top notch and the meal was consumed with no left over. They took pictures and we got more patronage for them
Itunu G.★★★★★ — It's a nice place for mature people to cool off. I love the environment.
Angel T.★★★★★ — Was a good feel, ambience wasn't too cosy but it was alright.
Emmanuel E.★★★★★ — This is an excellent spot to hangout with friends and enjoy great food and drinks.
Whether indoors or outdoors, or a lover of sports, this is a must-visit.
The food was awesome and the arrival time for the Nkwobi and Isiewu was fast. Only the grilled catfish took over an hour.
All together, I had an excellent time here.
Aminat A.★★★★★ — Whoever handles your customer service is killing your business, idk if you changed your cooks but for the past months now the food has been horrible from one complaint to another. It’s either too salty, too spicy or they forget to pack the right order and the way the staff handles issues it’s obvious they’re uneducated. I have two complaints from just this week, the Asun rice was nothing but pepper, zero taste not taking into the fact that not everyone has the same spice tolerance, just spice and vibes no single taste, very horrible. I let that slide.
Today I got noodles and egg and the noodles wasn’t eatable , I requested for little spice cos of days ago and the chef went ahead to not put a single pepper, how will one eat noodles without pepper how’s that even smart, and the eggs was just salt, nothing else. Couldn’t eat it atall
I complained and got zero remorse, like who does that? I wasted my money and my time
I’ve been patronizing this business for a long time so I know what I’m saying. My friend got Rice too that was just salt, nothing else, un eatable
You guys are really falling off, and the customer service is making it worse
Starrr★★★★★ — I'm not throwing shade or anything
Just sharing my experience
Yesterday I went there and ordered spaghetti it was a bit salty but that's not even the problem.
Please reduce the amount of pepper you put in your food,I love spicy food but even that was too much for me.
This morning when I woke up I ran to toilet and I've used the toilet twice within 20 minutes and I still feel another one coming.
The food really messed up my system and normally I never leave reviews but I just feel like you should know.
