Dorcas U.★★★★★ — It's one of the experience I look forward to every end of the year in AKS

The kiosk's for sellers
It's amazing place and experience
Iniobong U.★★★★★ — Today, I walked past Ibom Plaza, and it honestly made me pause.
Seeing a place that holds so many childhood memories now revamped with beautiful graffiti, clean walkways, and tight security felt deeply comforting. It is one of those moments where the past and present meet, and it feels right.
If you are visiting Uyo, please make it a point to stop by Ibom Plaza. Take a slow stroll around, soak in the atmosphere, and snap pictures with the iconic I Love Akwa Ibom graffiti. It is simple, but it stays with you.
What makes it even more special is that Ibom Plaza sits right at the heart of the city. It is not just a relaxation spot, it is a historical place. This is where the name Uyo itself was derived from.
Some places are more than locations. They are memory holders. Ibom Plaza is one of them.
Fashakin S.★★★★★ — I've been there few times and the environment is good with the new artistic design on the wall makes it more beautiful, except the outside and around it
Nkwachukwu N.★★★★★ — The walkway to the plaza has a good view of the Four Point by Sheraton Hotel, making it a choice spot for good pictures.
Joy J.★★★★★ — I liked the cool ambience which was a very sharp contrast from the hustling and bustling outside. The location has lots of camera friendly background for very lovely pictures and I saw people cleaning the surrounding that morning.
Such a great spot for relaxation for both kids and adults
Yekinni K.★★★★★ — If you find yourself in Uyo in Akwa Ibom, it's a nice place to go to learn history of Akwa Ibom.
Iheanyi I.★★★★★ — There is nothing quite like stepping into a home of stories, especially those rooted in the soul of a people. The Ibibio Union Museum serves as a vibrant gateway into the rich heritage of Akwa Ibom’s three major ethnic groups: the Ibibio, Oron, and Annang.
The museum was designed and built during the administration of Architect Obong Victor Attah. It is located along Udo Udoma Avenue in Uyo, making it easily accessible from the city centre.
Aesthetically, the museum is stunning. It’s alive with beautiful pieces—mixed media art, photographs, sculptures, and intricate carvings. While the collection isn’t vast in artefacts, what’s on display is thoughtfully curated and tells a compelling story. The surrounding environment is lush, green, and serene—ideal for quiet reflection and cultural immersion.
To access the museum, visitors are required to pay a fee of ₦4,000. It’s also important to note that photography of the works on display is not permitted, preserving the integrity and sanctity of the exhibits.
The curation and arrangement are commendable, though there’s room for more depth and refinement. Still, the museum offers a meaningful experience—you walk in as a visitor and leave feeling more connected to the history and spirit of Akwa Ibom.
Highly recommended for culture enthusiasts, history lovers, and first-time visitors to the state.
Joy W.★★★★★ — Great place. For someone who came all the way from uyo,I thought it would be difficult having access to the bridge but it wasn’t at all. If anything, the people there were so nice and friendly
Adeola A.★★★★★ — I could learn about history and it helped me take pictures at places I only found on Google including the slaves warehouse. Everywhere was great and easy to access.
Abang P.★★★★★ — Uyo Green Park, popularly known as Green field gardens is a cool and natural place for picnics, photoshoot sessions, outing, sit outs, meetings, name it.
The greens just gives life and beauty to everything there.
I visited there for a Millennium Fellowship picnic and it was awesome. Due to its beauty and usefulness, lots of people visit there all the time.
The place is so neat that you can sit on the bare grass to do your thing. If however, you do not wish to sit on the bare grass, there are mats and trapaulines for rent at affordable prices.
I sincerely appreciate the progenitors for creating this place and for making it free to use. There is no gate pass to this Park, guys. It is always open; 24/7. And I wish we would have more of this park, scattered all over Uyo so that we won't have to spend so much on transportation to Nwaniba to get here.
Victor I.★★★★★ — I am telling you Uyo is just perfect for having this kind of park.. (it’s also knows as Love Garden) but take a look at it, the field is well maintained and clean, the grass is always trimmed.. it’s perfect for a group picnic or solo date.. you can also go there to chill alone, there are mats, board games and snacks. This is our small aboard located in Uyo.. other states in Nigeria should replicate because what’s so sky rocket about creating/maintaining a public park?.. in a nation where we have too much of experts in every field.. they can’t even keep a green grass in Abuja stadium, not to talk of Jabi park. Akwa Ibom State is one state with lucky Governors.. They are not perfect but laid a foundation of a future megacity. Welcome to Uyo.
Samuel J.★★★★★ — Nice open field event center located at Osongama estate (Abel Damina road)
Uduak P.★★★★★ — I've been served by Bonuell & I can boldly say that they've got what it takes to make your space cozy, their interior decor is topnotch & they've got classy accessories. Bonuell, your one- stop interior spot.
Mordecai M.★★★★★ — This holds a historical story of Nigeria
Anne I.★★★★★ — This site is about 1 hour 40 minutes from the Four Points by Sheraton, Ikot Ekpene. Although the structures are old and many are in ruins, it was a powerful and worthwhile visit.
Walking through the grounds, seeing the chains, weighing hooks, trading creeks, and the Bridge of No Return — is a sobering reminder of where our ancestors were taken from, forced across water, and subjected to unimaginable suffering. It tells a story every African should know.
A deeply reflective experience and a must-see for Nigerians who want to reconnect with our history and understand the impact of the transatlantic slave trade on our people.
