Just looking for a way to extort people unreasonably. I have my plate numbers vividly displayed in front of my vehicle, they are still trying to refuse to let me leave while claiming that it was displayed inside the vehicle. After duly paying the levied fine through Remita, one of the officer (see picture attached) asked me to get a book for another extra 2000 Naira. I demanded a receipt which he blatantly refused without reasonable explanation. I took the picture of the officer as a proof that I paid 2000 Naira without a receipt being issued. An argument ensued and I was assaulted while claiming my rights as a law abiding citizen. As a public officer, why should you be scared to be filmed or snapped if you are truly acting accordingly. This is never the best practice especially considering the hardship and suffering currently in the country.
