Sani I.★★★★★ — Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR) is located in Samaru, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria along Zaria - Sokoto road. The institute has a regional mandate to improve and promote crops which includes maize, cowpea, cotton, millet, Jatropha, sorghum, groundnut, seseme. IAR has been playing a key role in development and upscaling of modern faming technologies and machines for sustained crop production and profitability. The institute has various research program units namely, Farming system, Cereal, Legume and Oil, Biotechnology, Artemisia, Biostatistics, Irrigation, mechanization and Cotton and fibre as well as meteorology for weather monitoring and forecast. The institute has substations which cover its geographical mandate; Kadawa, Kano, Talata mafara, Zamfara and Jos, Plateau irrigation research stations. The institute has won several awards and laurels nationally and internationally and its individual scientists have as well won a number of highly competitive research grants. The institute staff work hand in hand with the members of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria-Nigeria.

The location is at Graceland. I particularly like that the environment is so peaceful and as a nature lover, there is quite a lot of trees to make me happy lol.

Light music daily plus occasional live band, and dancing exclusive to members. Drinks are about the most pocket friendly in the entire city of Zaria. Tennis, swimming pool, fresh fish, beefsteak, ice cream, salad, and many more. It's a delightful place to cool off.
