Located in No. 1 Nwadiogbu Street (also referred to as John Nwadiogbu Road), Omagba Layout Phase 2, along the vaunted Onitsha - Enugu Expressway, (opposite Our Line Bus Stop, Nkpor/Onitsha). The hotel features 35 rooms with rates starting from approximately $28 per night (though varies by season and booking platform). The room categories include; standard Rooms, deluxe & twin rooms, executive deluxe rooms & luxury Suites. The amenities expected are air-conditioned rooms with a desk, electric kettle, a microwave, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV, a balcony & a private bathroom with a shower. Some of these are on request, while all rooms feature a closet. The hotel is exceptionally clean, rooms inclusive, while the staircase & corridors are large. Imagine Onitsha with it's limited usable land & relate it to this majestic hotel that was built with style & convenience in mind. Coming to facilities, there is an on-site restaurant serving African delicacies, a lounge/bar, fully equipped gym & a standard swimming pool. There are also meeting rooms, conference halls, & event spaces for weddings. I saw a hall designed & crafted as a nightclub. Though presently not in use, and sign of past glories. I also observed giant diesel standby generators to ensure 24/7 power supply & there is ample on-site private parking available which is free. They operate friendly timings as Check-in is from 05:00, while Check-out is 14:00 (2 PM). Piccalilli Hotel & Suites is a secure & top-rated hotel service in Onitsha. The staff are exceptional to say the least. Comprising of mostly young & female individuals. They're friendly, humble, courteous & very helpful when required. This above narrative includes the 24-hour reception desk & room service. The hotel is also a pet friendly establishment, but you have to call ahead first & conclude this aspect with the management. However, I think that the kitchen staff are not trained culinary professionals. Also, the amenities in the rooms need to be improved upon. For example, bottled water should be among the amenities for guests. Definitely, a boutique hotel in the city - center of alluring Onitsha. Boasting of classic indoor and outdoor lounges, swimming pool, restaurant, meeting rooms, halls, gym etc it is indeed enchanting. It's location is a suitable choice for both business & leisure in this famed city. Generally, a good, comfortable & homely place to stay
