As a woman over 40 living abroad, I had previously gone through two very disappointing IVF experiences in Lagos, and in the UK I was told I was “over the age limit” at 43. Coming to Olive Branch Clinic completely changed my story.
From the very beginning, the team listened to my needs, worked around my travel schedule, and tailored my treatment to give me the best possible chance of success. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely invested in your journey.
A special mention must go to Victoria, the international coordinator — she is incredibly kind, soft-spoken, patient, and reassuring. She has so much faith in her patients and the treatments they offer, and she responds promptly to queries on WhatsApp, which is such a comfort when you’re abroad.
One of my favourite parts of the entire process was the egg retrieval — smooth, quick, and honestly the best 15-minute sleep of my life!
Dr Ikenna Emeka is truly one of the best fertility specialists you could ever meet. He delivers exceptional, patient-centred care, is completely non-judgmental, and explains every step of the process clearly and compassionately.
I cannot forget the amazing Rachel, the embryologist — she is outstanding at what she does, and I am forever grateful for her expertise and dedication.
You also can’t go through this clinic without noticing Akin, the accountant. His kindness, respect, and empathy — especially around payments, which can be one of the most stressful parts of IVF — made such a difference. He handles everything sensitively, and that deserves real applause.

It is a tertiary mental health institution under the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja. Situated along Aliyu Makama Road, opposite Shagari Federal Low-Cost Houses in Barnawa, Kaduna South. Founded in 1975 by the defunct North Central State Government, it was taken over by the Federal Government in 1996. The hospital was formerly known as Psychiatric Hospital Kakuri. The hospital has a current bed capacity of 154, with ongoing expansions expected to increase this to over 450 beds upon completion of the Male/Female Acute Wards B and DRU Ward B. It opened in 1975 with an initial 100-bed capacity & in 1996, the Federal Government of Nigeria took over the hospital from the Kaduna State Government following recommendations by the National Committee for the Review of Psychiatric Care Services, chaired by Dr. Marinho.Today, it stands as one of eight (8) full-fledged Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospitals in the federation. The others are located in Benin City (Uselu), Maiduguri, Kware (Sokoto), Enugu, Calabar, Abeokuta (Aro), & Yaba (Lagos). The hospital provides a wide range of mental health and diagnostic services. These clinical care (general adult psychiatry, child & adolescent services), geriatric (old age) psychiatry, & forensic psychiatry. It also has specialized units handling substance abuse treatment & rehabilitation, psychotherapy, neurology, & emergency psychiatric services. For diagnostics, it has a Level 3 Molecular Laboratory, medical laboratory services, and radiology (EEG/ECT). I had some appointments here and the services was great and smooth. They run most things here online and it is one of the best hospitals I have been. Although people can be much depending on the time you arrive but they still coordinate things well. Advices and some good health talks are been taught too. That's why I rate it as 5 stars..I came in very early around 7am and I was being attended around same time..seems like they both do morning and night shifts.
