Let’s start with the ambience and atmosphere: clean, tidy, and beautifully detailed. You can clearly see the attention to detail in every corner. The music selection is excellent, keeping you entertained throughout your stay. Oh—and the kitchen is see-through! I absolutely love the concept. Watching the chefs prepare your meal with so much joy somehow makes the food taste even better 😃 It really helps you appreciate every bite.
Next up, the service—exquisite! Professional from the front desk to the wait staff and even the chefs. Pure class.
And finally… the food! Let’s talk about the food!! My palate felt stars ✨ for the first time in a long while. Every dish was a delight. (See photos attached 🤭)

It has been around for years and still manages to stay afloat, which says a lot in a very competitive nightlife scene. That said, it’s clearly not as prominent or as busy as it used to be. The crowd is thinner these days & the overall vibe feels toned down compared to its peak years. The number of customers and the general social buzz have reduced, which affects the energy of the place..... Still, for nostalgia and consistency, Play House deserves credit for surviving when many others have shut down. The number & quality if tge galz too has reduced tremendously. It’s average overall no longer a top hotspot but not completely irrelevant either.

The house flies were abundant and the barbeque took forever until we were full with snacks and drinks. We went there for Barbeque specially, but we had to pack it as it was already too late.

The live band was the only thing that lifted my mood. I had to sit for about 30 minutes before the plates left by previous customers were cleared and I was finally attended to.
My order was simple — unripe plantain porridge and fried fish. I was told it would take 30–35 minutes, but it ended up taking over an hour for the food to be served. Worse still, it was served for dine-in instead of takeout as requested. It then took an additional 20 minutes for the food to be packed.
Ironically, payment was taken within seconds. The entire experience was frustrating.
To top it off, when I got home, I discovered that instead of the fish I ordered, I was given a different part altogether.
