Kelvin M. ★★★★★ : On of the best outdoor chill out spot, if not the best so far in Asaba. They have one of the best DJ's playing that club vibe music from Wednesday-Sunday. The best thing about Liquor Palace, is that they sell original drinks and they have great customer service.

uche N. ★★★★★ : A beautiful hangout space.A central pool area with beach house vibes. Pretty outdoor area. Karaoke on Thursday night and Sunday night events are very entertaining.
Omenogo T. ★★★★★ : It is a beautiful place with a number of engagement types. They have a five-aside-football pitch, fine dining restaurant, gym & unisex saloon, outdoor lounge . Now the beach house, I guess, gets its name from an architecturally interesting pool of varied depths surrounded by multiple "condos" that could take a small group at a time. I hear they have dancers and life at various days of the week. It is mainly accessed from Infant Jesus road with a small entrance on Anwai road. Nice staff. There is no on-site parking, just street parking available

Dr. E. ★★★★★ : Zygon is a nice place. Good ambience in a safe and secure environment. The serenity is adorned with natural plants giving your eyes something to look out for. Service was a bit slow due to the number of personnel on duty. The food was exceptionally nice as well as the music from the sound box carefully selected for your listening pleasure. You want somewhere quiet and nice? Do Zygon
Abanum O. ★★★★★ : This place is a joke..."the service is Poor" is to say the least...these guys are scammers.. I ordered 3 different dishes and they were all terrible.. they added a strong Ponmo and smoked Ice fish to their over priced Sea food okra..the shrimp fried rice was brought out of the fridge and micro waved for us as á lá cartè...the barbecue fish had all the removables still inside it's head..not to talk of the so called Pinneapple smoothie....Never had Pinneapple so tasteless in my life...Please for your mental health and psychological well being...avoid this place.

Lulu J. ★★★★★ : The food and drink was amazinggg..10/10🙌 took a while for my order to arrive. I had almost finished my drink before the food finally came but It was understandable. The overall ambience was great, just that the music was a little too loud for me. The food is worth the price.
Cyp C. ★★★★★ : Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Management I recently visited Nova Restaurant, Asaba with my foreign wife, children, and extended family (a total of 8 adults and 2 children) while in town to visit relatives. My nieces and nephews specifically requested Nova Restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be thoroughly unpleasant due to poor customer service, unprofessional management, and avoidable operational issues. Upon arrival, we were seated and began placing our orders. One of my young nieces briefly stepped away to take photos in another section of the restaurant. She was abruptly stopped by a man who identified himself as the manager but refused to disclose his name. He stated that photography was not allowed unless guests were seated in that specific section. This said rule which could not be proven by the manager was never communicated beforehand and was applied in a very rigid and unfriendly manner. When this was brought to my attention, my niece suggested we leave. Since we had already begun ordering, I requested that the children be allowed to take a few photos, explaining that this was part of why they wanted to visit the restaurant. Instead of handling the situation with discretion, the manager insisted on enforcing the rule without empathy. Worse still, a service staff member told us we could not leave because our order had already been placed—prioritizing payment over customer satisfaction. Eventually, another manager intervened and allowed the children to take photos, but the situation had already created an uncomfortable atmosphere. This was the first of many issues during the visit. Food service was equally disappointing. Although orders were taken correctly, the first set of meals arrived excessively salty and heavily spiced, making them almost inedible. The meals had to be returned and replaced, causing significant delays. Additionally, the server chose to serve all adults before serving our two young children, causing them to cry while watching everyone else eat. This demonstrated very poor judgment and lack of basic hospitality training. Due to the volume of food ordered, the table became overcrowded. I politely requested that an empty adjacent table be merged with ours to accommodate the meals, but this request was declined without explanation, despite the table being unused. When we requested takeaway containers for food we could not finish, at no point were we informed that takeaway packs would incur additional charges. Upon receiving the bill totaling ₦203,900, I noticed a charge for takeaway packaging. When I queried this—given the amount spent and the circumstances—the server insisted it was standard policy and refused to call a manager. She further stated that the bill was actually incomplete and attempted to add an additional ₦2,000 for more takeaway packs. Eventually, the same manager who earlier confronted my niece returned and rudely stated that every amount must be paid before we could leave. To avoid further escalation, I paid the bill and planned to submit a formal complaint. Unfortunately, the situation deteriorated further. After payment, the manager threw my card back at me. When I requested his name due to this disrespectful behavior, he refused. I attempted to take the bill to note the server’s name but was almost prevented from taking my own receipt. When I tried to take a photo of the manager to document the incident, he became aggressive, and the situation nearly turned physical. As we were leaving, a security guard intervened to calm things down, only to then ask me for money—an entirely inappropriate and unprofessional request given the circumstances. While the food itself is not entirely bad, Nova Restaurant is let down by EXTREMELY poor customer service, LACK of professionalism, and UNACCEPTABLE management behavior. If there were a rating lower than zero, this establishment would deserve it. Event detail is as follows Date: Friday, 16 January 2026 Table: CHI-8 Guest Account: 184127 I do not recommend this restaurant.

Alexandria A. ★★★★★ : Still a Favorite Spot – Great Memories, Great Experience This place holds a special spot in my heart—I had my very first official date with my now-husband here. It’s beautiful to see that they’ve maintained their standards over the years. One thing I really admire is how the owner prioritizes renovations—everything still feels fresh, clean, and well-kept. I also appreciate that it’s a no-smoking bar, so you’re not welcomed by any unpleasant smells when you walk in. The atmosphere is always clean and classy. Customer service is warm and attentive, although I’d suggest they tighten security a bit more, just for peace of mind. That aside, the drinks are always chilled and refreshing, and the food is consistently delicious. One standout feature for me was the restroom—absolutely clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The toilet is at a comfortable waist-level height, no need to squat too low, and the flushing system on the wall adds a sleek touch. It even smelled amazing! The aesthetic in there was simply giving. Overall, still one of my favorite spots—nostalgic, classy, and consistent. Highly recommend!

How to choose safely

What to check before choosing bars in Asaba

Rankings are a starting point. For this category, these are the checks that most often separate a useful recommendation from a risky one.

Check recency
Restaurants change fast. Recent reviews and photos matter more than old popularity signals.
Match the occasion
Confirm ambience, parking, reservation rules, family-friendliness, and menu availability before going.
Watch consistency
Repeated comments about service speed, cleanliness, portions, and pricing are more useful than one viral review.
