    • Nnanyelugo A. ★★★★★ Amazing collection of art pieces. They were breathtaking and I’m glad this place exists. Loved how serene the environment was too.
    • Kim W. ★★★★★ I have been here a couple of times, and both experience was amazing, the art work; every piece is beautiful and tells a story.. the museum is free unless you need a guide. Everyone was friendly, yes you will need to scan and register, but this is the 21st century every line can scan. If you want to learn tie and dye they teach that as well. I will be back when the art changes, but I love it here. And the suya spot outside is a bonus.

    • Agata W. ★★★★★ I'd like to separate the experience of art from the experience of a gallery. I'll start with the paintings. Nigeria has long been the realm of great artists. Since the 1950s, they've been gaining well-deserved recognition. Contemporary artists also have their own way of finding their place in the art world. I could spend hours in the gallery, looking at each painting individually. Rotimi Akinnire's painting "Forest" was mesmerizing—after a moment, I felt as if I'd been summoned to a forest. Many other paintings also captured my attention. The dark side was the institution. When I bought tickets for myself and my companion—the driver, for whom it was his first visit to an art gallery; he, too, could never visit it on his own because admission is quite expensive—I asked for tickets, but they didn't have them. I paid, but I couldn't get a receipt. Then, one of the staff members assisted us during the tour, reminding us several times that I could buy a painting. Finally, after the third time, I asked her to let us admire the beautiful paintings and leave us alone. This gallery combines two functions: exhibition and sales. If it's a commercial gallery focused on selling art, it shouldn't charge admission. If it's presenting art, it shouldn't be a pushy saler. Furthermore, if you want to take a photo of painting in this gallery, you can only do it in the form of a portrait of yourself in front of a painting. How strange.
    • Gold E. ★★★★★ Visited here quite a number of times, also was once invited for an exhibition and I must say it’s quite a delightful experience, at all my visits I was advised not to take a direct photo of the arts but can take pics with them, there’s restaurant next door as well … I quite appreciate that entry is free…

    • Dominique E ★★★★★ We came here twice and it was the best place we went to get souvenirs. There were many little shops some just resold the same trinkets while some shops were unique. I ended up getting a beautiful bag, a back pack, some nice bracelets and my family got some clothes too. The shop owners were nice and didn't force your attention too much like at the bigger market. It was good business and not too difficult to hagle for a good deal. Beautiful place!
    • Annette A. ★★★★★ It's a decent place, but I feel like the building has a lot of potential of being a tourist attraction, most of the amenities are old and outdated but they do a good job of cleaning the place. However, if the authorities can renovate the building, it'll be so much nicer

The environment is totally hand crafted, beaming with style and not necessarily fashion. The most ideal place to find professional artists collection. However, the works of one of the most creative artists in Abuja is not here yet, rare works of Artists like Prince Akeni Prosper are not yet in view.

    • kakam N. ★★★★ The Department of Arts and Culture Exhibition Pavilion in Abuja is a vibrant hub for art lovers, showcasing contemporary & traditional Nigerian art forms & works. It showcases a mix of diverse exhibitions, workshops & cultural events. One will experience a unique glimpse or perspective into Nigeria's rich artistic heritage. Nestled in the heart of Abuja, opposite Radio House & next to the International Conference Centre in Garki Area 11, the Department of Arts and Culture Exhibition Pavilion serves as a focal point for art enthusiasts and tourists alike. Apart from the exhibition area, the massive compound is well utilised for other socio-economic purposes. The cavernous grounds are rented for events & there're eateries & relaxation joints herein as well. The well landscaped grounds are so massive that parking of cars is not an issue. A lot of green areas with trees abound giving the place a mellow & relaxed ambience. Though some clients have lodged complaints of their cars being vandalised & items stolen in the past. I saw several uniformed security & vigilante personnel in & around the parking areas during the wedding reception that initially brought me there. However, the art exhibition pavilion took away my attention thereafter. The art gallery is undoubtedly vibrant & not only showcases a diverse range of contemporary & traditional Nigerian art, but also hosts various exhibitions, workshops & cultural events that celebrate the nation's rich artistic heritage. One cannot afford not to be spellbound by the captivating displays of paintings, sculptures & installations that reflect the dynamic creativity of Nigerian artists. Whether you are an art enthusiast or a casual visitor, the Pavilion offers an enriching experience that highlights the cultural significance of the arts & culture in Nigeria. The Pavilion opens every day of the week, affording all an accessible destination for arts exploration in Abuja. The location in the Central Business District equally affords the opportunity to easily move around & access other important locations & the city center. The atmosphere in the gallery is both welcoming and inspiring, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in the apparent high level of creativity of Nigerian artists/sculptors. Also, the Pavilion often features rotating exhibitions, ensuring that there is always something new & interesting to discover, whenever one visits. The Exhibition Pavilion is a wonderful space for art exhibitions, workshops, & cultural events. The halls are clean & beautifully lit with charming ambiance, showcasing various art works. The art works are well spaced & arranged. The area is thankfully wheelchair - accessible, making it easy for the physically challenged. In addition to its impressive collection of artworks, the Pavilion is also a great place to connect with fellow art lovers & locals. The Department of Arts and Culture Exhibition Pavilion is more than just an art gallery; it is also a vibrant space that fosters creativity & cultural exchange, making it a must-visit spot for anyone traveling to Abuja. Great place for an outdoor event, whether art exhibitions, receptions or just for relaxation. The indoor hall is impressive too. Clean conveniences are available including consideration for incapacitated or physically challenged. The staff are gentle, welcoming & generally helpful. Generally, the Pavilion is quiet, with serene environment which is undeniably befitting for an art gallery or exhibition pavilion. Well done to the administrators, staff & exhibition organisers
    • Muhammad-Taha I. ★★★★★ The Exhibition Pavilion at the Department of Arts & Culture in Garki is a wonderful space for art exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events. The halls are well-lit with calm ambiance, ideal for showcasing various art forms. It's wheelchair-accessible, and there's good parking. The location is central and easy to find. Staff are welcoming and helpful. My only suggestion would be clearer signage within the pavilion, but overall it's a top-notch venue for any arts-related activity.

    • Aisha ★★★★★ Walked into the gallery and was instantly offered juice in wine glasses, boujie (I didn’t take it, but ouu!). The space itself is beautiful, clean, open, and inviting. I went for an exhibition by Imal Silva, and honestly, it was my first time attending an art show of that scale and depth. 10/10. The experience reminded me that the artist truly determines how the space feels, and Imal Silva made it unforgettable. From the atmosphere to the curation, everything felt intentional and elevated. I’d love to return and see how other artists transform the space.
    • Gold E. ★★★★ I recently visited a small but charming museum that really stood out because of its vibrant colors and beautiful paintings. The artists did an outstanding job. Even though the museum is quite small, I never felt inconvenienced because the staff allowed us to explore at our own pace. It’s a great spot to visit with someone, but don’t expect a large-scale experience. One downside was the map, which was a bit confusing at the entrance. It stopped right at the road, making it unclear where to go next. However, once inside, I found it easily and would definitely consider visiting again in the future.”
