    • Joy B. ★★★★ : Quick Verdict: Climbing Olumo Rock is an unforgettable experience and a mandatory stop if you are in Ogun State. The site blends deep Yoruba cultural history with a great outdoor adventure, and it is well-maintained and very safe. The Experience: The local tour guides are incredible and walk you through a physical timeline of the Egba people. After the first 30 steps, you hit the Babalawo's sacred quarters. Higher up, you will see native medicinal plants producing healing water straight from the stone, and an ancient 5-bedroom mud flat built right into the rock crevices without any cement. You’ll also see active shrines of the high priestess, the tomb of a legendary chief priest who lived to be 122, and the actual tree still used today for royal king coronations! Pros: Immense historical and cultural education.Exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable local tour guides.Clean environment with very little litter. The jaw-dropping 360-degree panoramic view of Abeokuta’s famous rusty red roofs from the peak is unmatched. Cons: The heavy-duty glass elevator/escalator system is currently out of service and non-functional, meaning there is no disability access. Everyone has to use the stairs. The final flight of concrete stairs is extremely steep, narrow, and a brutal stamina test if you aren't physically fit! Practical Tips for Visitors: Footwear: Wear proper sneakers or running shoes with good grip. Do not wear slippers or heels. Hydration: Buy a bottle of water at the base before you start climbing; you will definitely sweat. Go Early: Try to visit in the morning to beat the scorching afternoon sun.
    • Fleg' ★★★★ : Great experience. Hold funds for entry fee. Despite paying for full experience with your guide, some tour guides won't want to walk you through the experience of you don't tip them extra. That's the downside. Asides this, the experience is awesome especially if you go through the rocks to the top rather than taking the stairs. Will I want to go again? Yes.

    • Arinze E. ★★★★★ : I was taken aback by the large land mass this property covers. It is a lot. Functionality wise, it still works, but it felt like a place where life is slowly fading away from.
    • Miss C. ★★★★ : Everything you've heard about this location is probably right. The highlight of the activities was the manual boat ride. Emphasis on manual, it was fun😆. Activities to do within OOPL are visit to the museum, library, wildlife park, mountain of inspiration(use to be cooler than it is now though, those huts/bar are not necessary), boat ride (electronic or manual), zebra deck, ferris wheel/fun pack and several bar/joint/under-the-tree seat-outs/ relaxation points There are also chalets for staycations and a recording studio (just incase you catch an inspiration on the mountain 😁) At the wildlife park reception, there is a mini mountain hike to try out for free; the experience is giving ideas for my next vacation location The visit to OOPL was part of my itinerary to Abeokuta and in all, i/we had fun.

    • Adetuase P. ★★★★★ : Visited only the boat ride station but I will definitely go back to explore the park. The environment is very serene and peaceful.
    • Olu S. ★★★★ : The OOPL is located within compound of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL). There are also event centers, hotel (Legacy Green Resort) and a gift shop within this compound. There is also a mini boat ride within the compound. One can opt to pay for package that combines the library tour, boat ride and the wildlife tour or one can decide to pay for each items. Some animals there when I went there were falcon, crocodile, lion, ostrich, monkeys, python, etc

    • Olu S. ★★★★ : The Professor Wole Soyinka Train Station is one of the train stations on the route from Lagos to Ibadan, and vice versa. It is the main train station that serves Abeokuta town, and it's situated at Laderin, Abeokuta. The station is beautiful and neat. Unfortunately, the road connecting is bad, and hence commuting between it and the town is not that pleasant. Hope this malady would be addressed soon
    • Omeje O. ★★★★ : The service at train station is also organised and swift. Kudos to the government. The station can run a bus service to transport visitors to the city, that's just my suggestion.

    • Adetolu A. ★★★★ : "OOPL" is the first destinaton for fun seekers in Abeokuta or any where in southern nigeria. It combines fun, tourism and commercial acivities. Located not far from the seats of Executive,Judiciary and Legislative powers in ogun state. Secured, Serene and quiet place that provides all sort of activities for fun seekers. There is a 4-star hotel called "Green Legacy" for your accomodation, a bamboo groove arena for your relaxation and "jirattion", a smimming pool , a gym , a zoo, a boat ride venue and a cinema. Worthy of mention are also the worship centers to cap it up on fridays and Sundays. Last but not the least is the audacious Presidential Library. All these are just in one expansive location. What else will you like to see, it is just a must see for every fun seekers in Nigeria. The best part of it is that Abeokuta is connected to the train ride and so should make transportation easier.
    • Joy O. ★★★★★ : Serene, lovely and welll organised. But my friends and I couldn't do much because the amusement park had only one ride for adults, and the gate fee for the wildlife park was a little pricey, #3000 per person. But the rides for the kids are fun and pretty OK at #3000 per child

    • olanrewaju A. ★★★★ : This place is not functioning properly yet. And we still have to pay 10k for entrance without any fún or things to do. The manager is rude and doesn't respect the client we even greet her and she refused to answer greetings. Please they should put notice out that the place is not functioning well again. No quad bike ride or kayaking sef
    • Ethereal C. ★★★★ : Omu Resort is a dark shadow of its former glory. What we saw online was not what we met - it was deserted and depicted a place not used for months. We visited on a Public Holiday (Monday, 31 March 2025) They collected entrance fees and later came to tell us they're sorry, that it was under renovation. Why not put up a notice on your online platforms to inform intending visitors that the place is under renovation instead of wasting time and resources to come all the way? That's not fair at all. The FUNAAB Zoological Garden beside it was also closed because the staff were on Holiday! On a Public Holiday when people have time to visit? Come on 😓 The Management can do better! Hope the place is restored and functional ASAP.
