This one of the entrance into the Kano city now modernised. It's one of the few tourists attraction in the heart of Kano. But the the city walls are now erased, and of course, a great historical monument is lost!

The ancient walls of Kano are very historical pre-colonial and even during the colonial era. They still stand today as a monument of the history of the Great and Ancient City of Kano.

The gates and the walls were built since 15th century, they were design to protect the city from the enemies abroad. Also as a form of security regulations. Its a beauty .
