O N ★★★★★ : I CAME FOR A SILK PRESS AND NOTHING MORE BUT LEFT UTTERLY DISSATISFIED. Look as a stylist, if you don't know about a natural hair style just say so! Put pride aside and just say you can't do it rather than waste a client's time! I know my hair - evidently, no one can know a person's hair better than the owner of the hair especially if that person invests well enough in the health of their hair! And I do! I have a full natural head of hair and I have had my hair silk pressed MANY times! Silk press is a unique technique and it differs from regular straightening! I am home away from my stylist so I thought to look up salons within Lagos who offer silk press services. I found this AVI ABBY salon but honestly, I wish I didn't go here! At this salon, I had already spent 1.5hrs in the process of detangling, washing, drying, second detangling and blow drying of my hair (my hair is a lot and personal hair care days for me involve extended duration, so this didn't surprise me)... I have gone through this process before my much anticipated silk press! Only for this Abby lady to begin... She started at the back of my hair and as I watched her handle various strands, I noticed my hair wasn't silk at all. It's still looked blow dried. Additionally, her use of multiple passes with her straightener was concerning for me because that's a wrong technique! At this point, I had to stop her! Then I showed her previous pictures of my silk pressed hair (done at my home salon) and thereafter, she attempted further but still couldn't get it. I just told her to stop it altogether because the continued passing of my hair through the straightener would damage my hair! This is such a displeasing experience and even at that, she wasn't even apologetic. She just kept mute and I felt like she was just using my hair as a test run! Overall, I paid for the wash, dry, and blow drying (10000 naira) and I dashed out of there! If you want to get your silk press, EVADE THIS SALON! What a crappy FIRST time experience!

I opted for the deep tissue massage and the masseuse did an amazing job, i haven't felt so relaxed in a while. My only complaint is that my massage lasted about 40min instead of the normal 1 hour, but all in all my experience was amazing and i look forward to another spa experience.
