On the morning of our departure, the hotel refused to release our luggage because they claimed they couldn’t find a teaspoon. Imagine holding a family with children hostage over a missing teaspoon! Our bags were held at the reception for nearly 30 minutes, while my kids and spouse were left waiting and distressed.
To make matters worse, the manager later demanded an additional ₦3,000 for the so-called “missing” teaspoon – with no receipt provided. It was clearly an attempt to extort money from us after already charging us such a high room rate.
This hotel’s practices are unprofessional, exploitative, and unacceptable. No guest should ever have to go through this type of humiliation, especially after paying so much. Families, and particularly those traveling with special-needs children, deserve compassion and respect – not harassment over a spoon.
If you care about your family’s dignity, time, and peace of mind, stay away from this hotel. There are far better places in Owerri that will treat you fairly and respectfully without resorting to such disgraceful behavior.

The experience has been far below expectations — the WiFi constantly disconnects, and the electricity supply is very unstable. For the price being charged, the rooms are surprisingly small and do not reflect good value at all.
Let’s not even talk about the breakfast — poorly prepared, lacking in nutrition, and far from appetizing.

Poor meals, the breakfast supposed to open at 0730 but did not. Waited in the waiting area and listened to other patrons complaining about just how bad the hotel is. I could go on....but I'm tired 😫 and can't wait to check out.

The front desk told us there was no availability at their hotel and they did not receive payment.. Although, I clearly had a booking confirmation number. The front desk representative said no, that there’s no availability and suggested that WE did not do the right process with how we booked. The nerve! She then stated we need to contact Chase. Well low and behold. Upon speaking with Chase for several days trying to get our refund. We have learned the hotel did in fact keep the money and told Chase we checked into and is trying to refuse giving us our money back. Absolutely ridiculous and a straight up scam. Shame on everyone involved!!

Please let there be an orientation for your staff especially the 2 receptionists.

This place is dirty, the negative reviews are ALL CORRECT. Please don’t overlook them. Mosquitoes will greet you once you walk into your room and sitting room, roaches will be your friends because they are everywhere and it’s not clean at all. Upon arrival, we found an empty food container under the divider curtain and stained sheets. Anytime you go to the bathroom, you would be greeted by a different roach. My bags remained closed all through the trip because I did not want to take roaches home. The decor and furnishings are completely outdated AND THEY KEPT TAKING THE LIGHT! What are we really paying for?! The breakfast was terrible as well. WiFi was not steady at all at all. I will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone.
The only 2 good things about this hotel are some of the workers and the pool, that’s it.
